This is just a bit of a chat T'bird & I are having about Greeneyes-

" The biggest problem will be stopping Dijo taking it to Woolworths, the most popular supermarket with a carpark that is always crammed!  Doordamage city!"

Tell me about it, I've got some dings thanks to the lack of care some people
have. It helps to adhere to my 'Matt's Guide to Parking Your Altezza'

1. Park on the end of a row. One less door that can hit your car.
2. Stay away from possible 'family cars' - station wagons, SUV's.
3. When you have to park next to another car, try to choose a car that clearly
has a fastidious owner. Riced/blinged cars are a plus. The added bonus is that
they are more likely to attract the attention of would-be car theives as well,
leaving your car inconspicous and untouched.
4. Park next the passenger side of cars, helps to reduce the chance of a door
hit - every car has a driver, not every car has a passenger.
5. Parking near pylons helps, people tend to steer clear of them because they
look hard, immovable, and most people don't know how to park properly.

HAHAHA! Hey, that was For Your Eyes Only, Keith!

Seriously - are other people as pedantic as me when parking? On the street, I also make sure I park away from trees where possible, and I will also look at security considerations - under a street light at night, and near homes/open windows where possible.

Too good not to share Matt!

On a realated topic I'd like to say that i did something silly yesterday as i was being quite complacent.
Jacaranda's are flowering now and they drop their slipperly flowers, which are even more slipery when it has rained in the last day.
Anyhow was coming in a little too fast to park.. pulled on to pretty jacaranda patch. arrgh brakes have locked and sliding towards kerb... quick correct (over corrected) back on brakes abs kicks in.. slide down street.. Moral of the story, don't trust anything purple..

And yes, i'm not that bad with parking but when i park to go to work i park in an undercover complex and always choose a spot near the wall where people won't be walking past your car, which stops scratches from bags/careless people walking by.

I'm very pedantic where I park, in most circumstances car parks are avoided all together, I just do shopping late @ night when noone is there.

If I have to go shopping I always try for a park between two pylons so noone can physically open their car doors up on you, but you have sum good pointers there Matt ;)

Pylons are vertical concrete support beams, commonly found in all multiple storey shopping centre car parks ;)

Pylons, are a close relative of the Python, only larger.
These venmous snakes will protect your car from being scratched or stolen in most cases, unless Steve Irvin is trying to steal your car.
However in the process of going to and from your car you may die.

Ahhhh ok, lucky to get a car spot between two, I didn't think they were that close together.

yeh but what happens when you can't do anything but park in that spot when all the others are taken. can't help it really. Once down in reversby, sitting in Hungry Jacks I watch the whole process of an elderly man pull up next to my car park and open his door, he was very cautious and then forgot something went back opened the door more and smack hit my car. Watched the whole process quite heartbreaking but it happens from time to time. and everyone steer clear of flemington markets plenty of idiots that hit your car with runaway shopping trollies even if you are parked in a spot that is leat likely to get marks.

first week i had my car i dropped one of my friends off home, parked in the street to let her out, and she opened the door fully into a concrete power pole lol, like if the door was opened 3/4 it wouldve been alright, but opened it fully and smack into it lol, so i learnt my lesson, dont stop to let anyone out near a concrete power pole.

Also i park well away from the door of shops, trolley bays etc, once i parked the opposite side of the carpark to the door, no cars around, thought sweet, went in did some shopping, came out and there was a trolley hard up against the car!! didnt mark it though B)

Me and my friend were standing there going "what are the odds of that"
