OK, do we want to do a third group buy on these. We've bought 17 from Manukau Toyota so far, and if 5 people are keen I will go through all the hassle of organising it.

If you have 70,000km on and you intend to keep the car you might want to get one now and put it aside for a year. Remember they are stopping manufacture of most things for this model, so all the aftermarket goodies will get hard to find.

The last price was $1500 for the release bearing, the pressure plate, the clutch plate and the lightweight flywheel, all Toyota TRD items. This time I would expect it to be closer to $2000, plus $400-500 for fitting.

last one is here

Discussion is here and here.

Post up if you are interested. ANTZZ will be a starter! :P

At some point I'll be doing this but the parts you mention, minus the release bearing, are Y110,000 ($NZ 1,363.80) from TRD Japan:

Won't we get an even better price if it's a group buy? I'm probably missing something though so let me have it :P

Hey, I could be keen but why would the price be up by $500? I would only want to pay around the last group buy price.

There is currently stock of only 3 clutch covers and discs in NZ, and 8 flywheels.

Will try to get a special price for 3 kits from Toyota New Zealand and see how we go from there for you guys.

Current retail price is $2078.15 (including gst) for the Flywheel, Disc, Cover.

Have requested a special price for you guys, hopefully at or under the old buy price.

Cheers

I miss my 1kg tasty cheddar :( But seriously, why is there such a big inconsistency with the Jap TRD site? Shipping?

Thanks NST, let us know how it goes.

Ok got back from Toyota NZ, no further discounts for items already in the country.

However if members are willing to wait about 6-8weeks, we can ship freight the clutch kits into the country and get a pretty good saving on cost, however there is a minimum of 4 of each item that would need to be ordered.

Have sent through an enquiry for sea freight today, hopefully hear back today too if not it will be Monday.

Ha Ha, I miss the good ole days, Gas was under 2 bucks and party pills were available at dairys. Na, only questioned the $500 cause the Toda kit is around $1600 but I would prefer the TRD kit.

Anyhoo, great to have NST in the club, Been reading through other posts
and you have passed on some good info. Cheers.

Letting everyone know if you need this still, I can help supply an Exedy kit (identical to TRD kit, just without the TRD logo) for $1425 including GST.

Dirt cheap!!!

Retails at $1850+gst ($2081.25)

When I last checked there are only 2 or 3 left in the country at this price!!!

If anyone wants let me know asap :)

Any update on the availablility of this and an estimated cost including shipping?

TNZ no longer do any specials for TRD, not even via sea freight hence why I've sourced Exedy clutch kits (Exactly the same as the TRD one)

You do realise Toyota NZ set the pricing for TRD parts sold through NZ Toyota dealers & not Toyota/TRD Japan. So any pricing you see on line is pretty much irrelevant.

Best deal going on now:

Jun Flywheel from Mac:
http://www.fortyone.co.nz/parts/view/5418.html
With the 20% deal he is offering to the club it makes it $606.40

I can get an Exedy Racing clutch kit (same as my new kit) for $550

So for a real decent kit its only:
$1156.40

A heck of a lot cheaper then all other options and alot better too!

Cashfree and other members have gone with this combo aswell
