I attempted to install mine on the weekend, and unfortunately due to my earthing kit and beefy power cable when I try and close the hood of my car the struts clash on the wiring near the fuse block.

Mine took some minor fiddling to make it work. Nothing wrong with the kit. Just that there is adjustment, and a small change will make a big difference.

I dont think it would cause problems just because of your chassis? its only because I ran massive cables (2x 2AWG, 3x4AWG grounds) down the side where the gas strut goes in the engine bay so it probably wont fit for me. :)

it works fine with only one strut? are you using a carbon bonnet or standard? no problems with 'load balance'? i.e. bonnet twisting or strut struggling?

Planning on sound proofing my whole boot for the new stereo and realized that the torsen bars (the metal bars that supply tension to the boot to raise it automatically) won't be strong enough to automatically raise itself anymore. A nice forum member from my.IS kindly supplied me all the gear to do the boot as well :) Maybe another grp buy for the boot if others are interested.

Ahh good thinking Nick!

My boot creeps down @ times when open due to the weight of the sound deadening also!

Price?

Cost me US$90 shipped but they are universal gas struts so I'm sure you can find them here for much cheaper.

Thread on how to do it: http://my.is/forums/f90/diy-gettin-rid-tru...success-317025/
-Check the video out on it :P

With the stock boot weight u can launch kitty cats with it.
