Quote:

Suspension upgrades such as high performance springs, shocks and tires can add additional stress to the chassis resulting in additional chassis flex. GREX Strut Tower Braces improve chassis rigidity and reduce this flex. By using a monocoque aluminum triple tube shaft and stout, easy-to-install steel base plates, high strength and rigidity are obtained without unnecessary weight gain

smnt - that would count you out at the moment, unless someone can prove my suspecion that SXE10 bars should fit GXE10s too?
(only concern would be the big plastics rubbing???)

Rear only for GXE10 I should clarify!

Wouldnt the SXE10 and GXE10 front braces be the same? Can someone clarify please?
Nick

Yes I had a rear HKS SXE10 strut brace for a while on my JCE10R/GXE

OK smnt, your back in looks like the Greddy fronts for SXE10s still fit the GXE10.

Im guessing the rear lower arm bar is the same for the GXE10 too but not 100% sure.

Ok we got 3 people confirmed, Michael, how you want payment this time?
Seperate individual payments?

I wonder if an Altezza with all three braces would run like rails or have oversteer/understeer issues to sort out?

Ive got no idea sorry guys.
Im only getting the front at this point.
Im guessing the the front only with factory susp it would induce a tiny bit of understeet, but the rear will induce over steer, so bit of both would help.
Anyone with any info would be good.

it doesn't rub on the engine shroud but rubs on the bonnet when it flex.

Put me down for a front bar SXE10

A question on the rear lower. . . I already have a 4 point cusco brace and im assuming this Greddy brace is bolted on the same mounts???

reggie you serious? it rubs against your bonet when it flex's?!

does that cause any damage to your bonet or get annoying?

I don't really mind...I see more stuff in the car to annoy me than the rubbing of the strut brace on the plastic shroud thingy attached to the bonnet. Also , I don't see any damage to the bonnet, just a scuffle marks on the plastic shroud...will take photo when I get home.

BTW, after advice from Stephen to turn the bar around (Greddy is facing the driver window instead of the front)..I don't think it rubs on the AirFilter Bracket anymore.

Done :)

The lower arm bar "SHOULD" bolt into the factory place, so if the Cusco Brace didnt change anything, it should be ok :)

Not sure why the GXE10s rub, as the SXE10s should actually have the same bonnet clearance too, I was more worried about the scrubbing on the engine cover

don't worry about the name placement...its worth it.

I paid $230ish last group buy....you will feel a lot of difference when you have them on.

Thanks Nick

What i was wanting to know is because i have a 4 point cusco rear chassis brace (similar to the one pictured in the Greddy pic) it makes the greddy brace redundant as the cusco brace is already using the mounting points the Greddy brace would

Cheers
