TBH Stephen I'm not sure? I know the Super Long Life Coolant is dearer, and specified on the bottle to use only SLLC if specified in the manual or if the vehicle was produced with it. And use the Long Life Coolant else wise. Oh and SLLC is made in Japan, where LLC is made in Australia. The SLLC comes in a 4L Pre-mixed bottle, where the LLC comes in a 1L Concentrate. Thanks Nick. Perfect. I checked the manual and it states Long Life coolant. I just got back from purchasing the 1L LLC concentrate. |

Buy this through the local Toyota dealer I take it. Might need to keep some spare for my car. |

Silly question time, but does anyone use distilled water, or just tap water for the coolant system? The bottle says to use distilled water, just curious if it makes much of a difference. |

I would like to know the answer to this question also...i'm sure tap water won't make much of a difference though? |

I topped up the coolant yesterday. Ran the engine a bit to get the bubbles out, rev'd a few times to help push things along. Used about 100ml I think that actually went it, about 100ml for overflow to make sure more air bubbles didn't get into the lines. Might have to do it a second time just to make sure I got all the bubbles out, sounds a lot better now though. |

i'd say it is mainly aimed at countries where their tap water is full of all sorts of nasties that are bad for the types of metals commonly found in cooling systems. we tend to not have that problem in nz however

Well, apparently I didn't do the job well enough, still got a sound in the car. Got recommended to do a full flush and replace the radiator cap. Excuse to get TRD radiator cap now I think
