Hi all ...

I think I'll explain a bit complicated and I hope someone understands my idea.
I already have plans for 2010. I'm sure, almost 100% I'm going to put a swap 2jzgte. Probably in August or October will be ready. B)

But there is a problem, in 2011 I'm moving to Spain to live in 1 year for update with Spanish nationality visa. It is a obligatory stay in Spain for 1 years. And then I return to my country.
Now I feel I dont want to sell my car because I love my altezza, that car is my favorite and I always wanted. Also nobody is going to care my car. I dont lend anyone, because I dont want to happen an accident or scratch to my car or damage to the engine 2jzgte.

Now, there are several options because I dont want to sell my car.
- How can I care for my car's (altezza+2jz) Idles in one year.

That question I was researching on google, there isnt information about, but I want someone as an expert or mechanic that could help take care of my car Idles in one year.

That is a suggestion:
My friend told me, i just need update before leaving country:
- fill New engine oil
- fill new Transmission oil
- fill new differential oil
- A special liquid to clean the spark plug (i dont remember type of liquid for spark plug and that the spark will not rust)
- Remove the battery
- Put a covers to my car for protection paint against dust or dirt.

When I return to my country. I have to refill it again and check everything and before turn on my car.

- How can I care for brake disc Idles in one year, (the disks that make a color is yellow, similar, but i dont remember what is produced so) .?
- How can I care twin turbo Idles in one year ?

Also I have seen the people selling the used 2JZ-GTE engine, supposed that engine isnt used anything, has no oil, cover well in the intake, turbo header or not to enter dust inside the engines.

That's all ..
I hope someone help me.
Thanks you

Note: If anyone has information on the internet, give me a link, so I want learn about it.
I'm sorry for writing so long, but it would be interesting to learn about the mechanics and maintenance. ;)

Ah- a most unusual request!

Don't forget to jack it up under the suspension arms to take the weight off the tyres.

In Auckland there are enough cars stored at the secure private storage place (Safestore) that someone gets paid to go around once a month and start them up and check them. He can't take them out of the compound.

The bare metal parts like brake discs will need an anti-rust coating like fish oil, which will have to be cleaned off with brake-clean before you drive it again. Don't leave the handbrake on when storing a car, it will stick.

You might get the clutch rusting shut, you will have to wait and see.

I've had my Datsun 1600 stored for over 5years now, well, off the road anyway, and I start it every 6months or so. The battery is on charge right now as we speak, but I know I can't drive it anymore as the clutch slave cylinder has given up. The clutch was sticking a year or two back, and that's what probably overworked the slave cylinder.

I'd take the plugs out and spray inside the cylinders and inlet manifold with CRC or WD40 and then reassemble it. That will hopefully stop rust forming on the bores and the back of the valves.

Good luck with it.

you will need to "inhibit" your engine , its is very commonly done in the aircraft industie to prevent aircraft piston engines from cold seizeing and internally rusting etc. marine fogging oil is what you use. it comes in a can, we have penzoil stuff at where i work.
****just take your air filter out and the can will have a long nozzle with it, poke that in past the airlow meter and start up your car ( you might have to fast idle it)and just spray the stuff out of the can down your intake until your engine stops running. it will draw the oil through your cylinders, valves etc and will protect them and any other metal surface while the cars not being used. then all you have to do is clean or replace your spark plugs before you start the engine again, it will just smoke like a train for a few minutes after you have started it until it clears all the fogging oil from the engine. always change your oil and filter before you start a engine thats been sitting for a long time. easy!

hope that helps
