Most decent mag and tyre shops will see you right with the proper offset and tire dimensions. I am running 18" Avanti Octanes. Pretty sure they are only 7.5" wide. As for rubber, I am running 215/40/18. I get a slight rubbing of the plastic inner guard on the drivers front occasionally, but only in reverse at half lock. You may be able to go to 225's on the rear. Senza had his guards rolled for 235's on the rear, and I think they were 17's. Staying with the same size front and rear, makes them easier to rotate :)

235 should fit on the rear with the right offsets, only had to get it rolled abit to fit 255s.

yup exactly right :)

Did you just get a roll in the rear? there is some black plastic (not the guard liner) that i touch on bumps with the 265s thinking of dremeling or heating it up and pushing it in ?

Cut out the outer bit of the black plastic with a stanley knife but heating it up would work just as well.. the guard is double skinned too so just pushed the inner skin to the outer.

the +47 with 235 wide tyres should sit nearly flush if i am reading this right,

as with 18x8.5s +46 is the lowest offset you should go so +47 is cutting it pretty fine

edit: although reading through 8.5 wide on the front wont be very good, will get scrubbing under lock etc, see if they have an 8 or even a 7.5 for the fronts if you want a staggered look.

What offset? You've just said the size and width... should be 18x8 +37 the (+37 being the offset). I don't think 8" wide will give you that much dish. Best way to find out would be to go to a mag shop and have a look through their stock and ask the guys that work there to show you the different sizes/offsets that will fit on your car so you can get an idea of what it actually looks like.

I had 9.5" +35 on the rear and had an alright amount of dish but nothing spectacular.

Also different wheel designs will give you different ammounts of dish (some of these get refered to as fake dish when the center spokes go straight then in to give the appearace of having more dish)

Well mine had a +35 offset and they sat flush in the rear (rolled guards) and about an inch over at the front. I had to run 215 as well and they STILL scrubbed.
