Hi All, Been a while since I have been on here as the IS is now my wife's car. Long story short, the 1G-FE in our car is getting tired and I am more than likely just going to buy an Altezza half cut and do that conversion. I'm not doing anything crazy like turboing etc and I am not interested in a 1J / 2J swap. I am buying an automatic Altezza beams halfcut and swapping it into my Australia IS200 automatic (not interested in manual as my wife will use the car for work 99% of the time and I have my own car). I know that a lot of people have already done the manual Beams swap, but wondering if anybody had any tips for the auto swap. I know that my exhaust will be different, and that the tailshaft will need to be fixed, but what else apart from the half cut itself will I need? |

Everything should be in there, a full half-cut is the way to go. It will be interesting to see what you think when you're finished. The extra power, the different torque delivery and the change in weight in the nose. If the Altezza comes with front struts swap them in and find a set of Altezza rear coils. The Altezza sits slightly lower than the IS200 in stock form. |
