Nope- get the longest one you can and get it fitted.

They are straight-through and have very little effect on the gas flow, which is why they also have little effect on the noise!

How about a new rear mufler? There are some good ones that have low restriction but good flow still.  I'll try to find the "Giant Muffler Test" on Google. It was excellent.

He's usually so scientific and rational about his testing, which was why I was so dissapointed about this article from Julian Edgar.

At the end he just casually mentions that all of them made exactly identical power on the dyno, rather than saying "Hey, so it turns out pretty much every option was a waste of money as no more power was made, may as well stick to your standard muffler"
