More info on TRD Iridium Sparkplugs:
http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_plug-sport.html

Yes they are rebranded Denso plugs :)

I can get Denso IK series Iridium plugs for cheap for VIPs :)
($29.75+GST RRP, $19.34+GST VIP)

TRD recommend the IK20 for both the GXE10 and SXE10 engines and IK16 for the JCE10 and JCE15s.

Boosted applications can go a few series colder if needed.

IK20 same NGK "6 heat range", the higher the number the colder the plug, so effectively IK22 is the same as the NGK "7 heat range"

Be interesting to see if they foul up being one heat range colder than OE spec. Might take a few km's but I'd keep an eye on them if I was you.

Hmmm.....since I'm not often driving at high RPMs :P I'll probably put back in the IK20s and preserve the TRDs :)

Anyone tried the Denso VK20?

IK22 here and find them very normal. LOL! maybe cause i don't gun it.

however it saying that replacing these spark plugs every 30,000k's is very annoying. :)

how many kays a year do you do?

I have only done 30k kays in 3 years, so changing the plugs every 3 years isnt that bad..

Got some VK20 that are going into mine next service. Put a set in the 20v 4AGE as well & it's loves them. Runs so much smoother than it did with basic plugs the cheapskate previous owner put in.
If anyone's interested I've got a spare set. Can get more in from Japan too.

you guys crack me up!

I get about 5000ks out of a set of NGK steel plugs. For my purposes I dont expect a set of iridiums to last any longer either.
