Checked coolant level yesterday.. Was a bit low. So toped it up. It took 50-100ml drove around a bit yesterday. And now has droped again maybe 30ml toped up again.. it did have the gurgle sound (air in the line somewhere so iv heard) could it be this or could it be something more serious a head gasket.. or even cracked head? if so how much does it cost to get a head gasket done. I cant see it leaking anywhere Also is the tank just behind the radaitior ment to be full or empty.. mine has a very very small amount right at the bottom Cheers |

You may have had an air bubble or two in you system , maybe look at burping your system (again) to get any more bubbles out. Quick check the underside of your oil fill cap look for a white scunge as that is a key sign of a busted head gasket. The tank behind you radiator is the reserve tank for storing any spare fluid that is expelled from the radiator under pressure if it is to full. Fluid can can also be sucked from this tank to "top up" the radiator if/as required. There should be an indicator as to where it's fluid level should be ? correct me if i missed anything

You havnt noticed any steam from anywhere in the engine bay? My heater hose wasn't clamped properly and it only leaked when the motor had warmed up as faint steam, you've also checked that your not leaving a little puddle of water under the vehicle? Could be water pump seal leaking or something |
