Hey Guys,

Been a while since I've done anything interesting with the Tez so its time to take on the massive dreadful nightmare of moving the ECU to the cabin...

So far I'm about 20hrs into the job and its not even half way yet! Got power to the ECU and with a bit of luck I'll have it running in the next few hours :P

Some piccies for your enjoyment:

I've honestly spent about 4 hours standing there looking at hundreds of wires wishing I'd left it alone but I take a break and get right back into it after mustering a little more motivation, its going to look so much better and free up the engine bay for future mods, get sick of trying to work in suck a confined engine bay and love the look of tucked wiring looms :D

More updates to come as I progress along, already had a few hiccups but its coming along slowly

Haha major hiccup!

Didn't realise one of the junctions in the ECU box had individual grouping of pins rather than one group binding them all, gotta strip it back but luckily everything isn't taped up and tucked properly yet :P

Fixed my big cockup and the ECU, Injectors, and Coils are now getting power, everything seems to be working as normal thus far! The hard parts out of the way, just a matter of extending the engine loom to the cabin and making the connections then tidying everything up and placing the ECU in its final resting position before splicing in the Emanage, so far so good!

Hope everything is going well, give me a yell if you get stuck, I did pretty much the same to mine (although in a lotus 7)

For the engine sensors
I swapped the CAS and Inlet Cam Sensor wires
Swapped #1 injector wire with #3 injector wire
Extended oil pressure, water temp and Ex cam soleniod

All the rest fitted no worries.

That was it, power to everything was custom so can't really comment on that, but I do have a good understanding of the wiring involved.

Here is a picture of my the top of my engine, will be changing the injector wires to run under the fuel rail soon to clean up the top even more, everything else runs under the inlet manifold

Nice! Looking mint :P

Got the head nearly fully wired up, then I'll just hook up the Inlet Cam Sensor and Earth wires from the block and she should start with a bit of luck!

The Tezza crawled out of the garage for the first time in ages running with just a TPS, Crank Angle Sensor, and Inlet/Exhaust CAS, I've finished running the loom for the Engine bay its just a matter of extending the last of the wiring to the ECU, more piccies :P

Just found out that my factory ECU is faulty, its not driving the fourth injector which happens to be the cylinder that bent a rod ages ago!

Seems like the eManage is directly driving it because when its running from the stock ECU it isn't opening... mhmmm :(

Bummer! Lemme know if you need a stock ecu I think I might have one somewhere but not 100%. Best to check with me when I'm in a more sober state lol

PM Me if you've got one lying around, don't really know what they're worth these days :)

I got around it by using the Emanage but would really like to have a properly working ECU, who knows what else is broken but not really showing face... It's all up and running now bar Knock Sensor, ETCS, Gearbox Speed Sensor, and Reverse Sensor, just got to hook them up and start taping up the loom so it's all nice, neat, and protected!

Also discovered that my braided line for the turbo oil feed doesn't have a grove in the banjo end so the TD05 wasn't getting any oil, basically it has about 2mm lateral play in the shaft and about 1mm end to end play, groved the banjo bolt so oil gets to the turbo and realised the oil seals are nackered too! Blue smoke galore on decel :(
