hey guys, anyone know if the camshafts (intake and exhaust camshafts) are the same for the 3sge sxe10 manual and auto transmission? i need a set of new cam shafts and im wondering if it matters if i get some shafts from a manual 3sge and put them in my auto 3sge? can anyone shed some light? i had a look at toyodiy.com and the diagrams are identical and the part number only differs by 1 number- auto: 13511 CAMSHAFT 13501-88560 3SGE..SXE10..ATM and manual: 13511 CAMSHAFT 13501-88570 3SGE..SXE10..MTM thanks guys |

One of my clients had found the differences, had something to do with the caps too think the manual cams had an extra cap where the autos didnt. Will dig up the email tomorrow but I do know that the 6MT and 5AT cams are totally non interchangeable |

The auto's have 31mm buckets and the manual ones have 33mm buckets, probably to do with the extra lift the manual camshafts have? Also the intake camshaft on the manual does have an extra camshaft bearing cap near the cam angle sensor, Talk to Celica_RA45 He know's ALOT about these engines.. |
