Did you also remove the rear axles/hubs? Have you checked that the rear speed sensors are connected?![]()

Oh my God your punctuation drives me crazy! So after the accident it was running fine, then you took it to the panel beaters and when you got it back it started running like a sack? My guess is that somethings happened to the fuel system, that black box is probably the charcoal canister and as far as I know shouldn't cause any problems. However there is a line which runs to the intake manifold thats used to purge the canister and if thats connected incorrectly then you may have vacuume leak which would cause the high/rough idle. Another thing worth checking is the wiring to the fuel pump, a bad ground would cause problems. And finally double check the fuel plumbing that the return and feeds are installed properly. Was anything done under the hood? The flashing TRC/VSC is probably a damaged Speed Sensor, a heavy knock like being rear ended and they go bad. Maybe get it plugged into a diagnostics machine and pull the codes. |

Hahaha is that your pet hate? Bad punctuation? ![]() I think they have done some of the work themselves by the sounds of it. My only advice is to have a professional do the work from the start. If they screw it up, they pay to have it fixed or to replace the engine once it gone due to their shoddy workmanship. If they havent done the work themselves I suggest taking it back to whoever did do the work and tell them to sort it out. It would be like me pulling the diff out of my car and trying to put it all back together. I wouldnt know where to start, let alone finish and have the car running at 100% again

yeah i got the codes p0161 oxygen sensor heotor circuit (bank2 sensor) throttle contol motor, P1128 lock molfunction...... Yeah about doing it myself, i thought how hard could it be, it as simple as puting it apart.. By the way ive put alot of cars apart... This was the easiest.... There was some little problem and now im checking it out... Theres ppl that fuken shit there self when a problem happens, i guess ur the type that jump in and drive, and if say u get a flat tyre u call for help, well im the type that doesn't get scared to get my hands dirty, i'll get out and put the spare tyre on... So u no were im coming from.... PEACE |

It all depends on how mechanically minded you are I guess. I wasnt trying to have a go, I was marely saying if you take it to a professional and they work on it and give it back to you saying that its all fine, if the car shits itself and it is due to the work they did, they are liable for it. Ask for help and you get advice.......That was simply what my reply was. |

Finally i found the problem, for p1128, engine light gone, one little thing became a big problem...... See i was nothing got to do with my insulation...... How i got the problem solved! I started by removing the air filter, when i removed it i started un screwing the throttle body, while i was un screwing i found paper jammed inside so i removed it... Then gone problem solved, dont no how it got inside, cleaned it up,,, Now about the other problem im having it its still going into dimmer mode....... p0161 oxygen sensor That sensor is the one that in the exhaust, now about that does that turn on if theres a leak in the exhaust conections, i need to wait till monday to check it out, lexus is closed. So if anybody nos anything about diss problem let me no.......... THANX |

Hi there, I know it's already been mentioned once in this thread, but can you please make an effort to write in actual English in these forums? People are much more inclined to offer you assistance when they don't have to decipher your TXT/Gangsta speak to work out what it is that you're asking. Thanks in advance.

im very sorry that you cant read my english. I'll try to fix it up as much as i can. What i was asking is that im still having a problem with my car, vsc and traction light still turn on. I was wondering with some assistants will the lights turn on if theres a leak in the exhaust. |

One test you can do is to start your engine and put your foot or a jandal or something similar over the tailpipe to seal it and listen for a 'chuffing' noise that will indicate an exhaust leak. If your revs drop by a lot or your engine stalls from doing this you can safely rule out no leaks :-) |

According to this article the P0161 code will cause the CEL to come on, O2 sensors are very sensitive so its possible the accident caused enough shock to destroy it. Or because its located so close to the chassis rail the accident shoved the exhaust and caused the sensor to hit the rail, thus destroying it? I'm glad the RS200 isn't OBDII compliant, it'll run happily without an O2 sensor at all. What a pain! |

leiden, thanx for your advice, i was wondering were about is that sensor located. Is it located underneath the car near driver position connected to part of the exhaust. Also i've found the exhaust leak, i need a gasket on connection of catback. Would that turn the lights on. The mufflers is letting out white smock also. |

If its white smoke on startup then its probably just condensation burning up in the exhaust, as for the cat-back leak it shouldn't affect anything unless the O2 sensor is downstream of the leak, it should be located on the drivers side, just look for a sensor with 4 or so wires thats screwed into the exhaust pipe near the 2-1 merge. |
