I managed to find at a good price a set of 1GGTE rods and pistons. Here are some pics the seller send me. Hopefully i will have them some time next week and I hope they are ok once i measure them. Next step now is to find a good aftermarket ECU and set of bigger injectors. Also I decided to get an AEM EGT gauge for the triple gauge pod. EGT togeher with the A/F is a good combination for better tuning of the engine.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Do the 1GGTE's and the Beams 1GFE's share the same Valve Angle and Head Dish Volume? |

i wouldve thought that the 1ggte would have differnt ones being its got the bigger "GE" head and not the smaller "FE" head???? as ive always been lead to beleive that the bigger heads have bigger valves and cams are wider appart so the valve angle would be differnt. it would also be the same with a 3SGE and a 3SFE wouldnt it. my thoughts anyway. |

On the money there Maccabro The 1GFE deffo is narrow valve angled head where the `1GG# are a wide angled head, valve angles will be different, but unsure how much difference it is Would be best to comapre 1GFE and the 1GGTE pistons side by side |

Saying that seems like people are using 1GGTE forged pistons in the 1GFE anyway: http://z20soarer.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1908 But being forged they should have a large dih in the top of the piston. Just be careful with the VVTI advancing and make sure the valves clear the pistons. Interested to see if it is compatible

I know many UK and a couple of Greek owners that have used 1GGTE pistons and rods for the 1GFE and they match ok and had no problems. I am planning to have an output of about 300bhp. No problems with the valves or what so ever. |

In that case it should be great ![]() Going for an underdriven pulley for more boost? Any idea how much boost you will be aiming for for 300HP at the wheels? |

I have a 180mm pulley which i am going to try at the moment. With this setup my mechanic has already prepared another IS200 supercharged which produces 300bhp. |

300bhp is a pretty good effort being Supercharged, I bet it'd pull from Idle almost too! |
