You should run braid or something tough for under the car dude. Even a small stone will rupture normal efi hose.

i was thinking running a surge tank and bosch 044 fuel pump in the boot and braided line to the motor then using the factory line as the return.

I just used the purge line from the evaporator that runs from the tank to the engine bay, cut it just before the canister on the fuel tank and ran efi hose form that to a bung installed on the factory fuel pump housing. You need to retain a close to factory setup and make use of the jet pump to draw fuel from the drivers side of the tank.

i wouldnt use the puge line as it lets the tank to breath and also helps with emishons it is not to hard to run bundy tube down the car there is spear clips next to the fuel line

Yea thats what I thought so I just left it to breathe to atmo off the evaporator and stole the line, its probably a bit small so I retained the 2 speed fuel pump control.
