Well i decided to tune a std motor that has done 16 kay. Motor was out of a 2003 model . I used 1 of my inlets, my throttles 48mm, and a set of trd race pipes . 2 stage injection as well so with 8 injectors all up At the end of the day with using 100octane pump fuel i ended up with 156kws at the back wheels on the chassis dyno that i use all of the time. 156kws at 7600 at 8000 power was done to 152, kept red line at 8000. This motor makes power and torque earlier by say 1500 rpm than my race motor, as torque finishes at 6300 rpm. My race motor only catches up with this by 6000 rpm as in power, and also finishes power at 9000 rpm and torque on race motor finishes at 8000. What i know is that the race pipes are worth 15kws, the 2 stage is worth 12 kws right across the rev range and the throttles also make a bit of power as well. A std motor on this dyno was 120 kws and a red top fwd is about 115 |

Mate, do you have the length of the primaries and secondaries on those trd pipes? Love to get a similar set made up as I don't think they'll fit straight in to my ra23, and it would be an expensive exercise to buy some just to find out! Look like they are the way to go. Nice results. |

Great work! That is solid information on what works and how well it does it. Would you describe the car as "road-quiet" with the exhaust setup you had? An extra 30KW without touching the cams is an excellent result! |

Very nice set up. As Greeneys said, it's good to see what actually works. Now if only I had the coin to spare I'd be coming to see you. |

the dearest part would be the motec m800 to run the 8 injectors ,but i say the link would be good as well as long as you have 8 injector drivers it would be sweet |

Hey mate, Maybe you could put up prices, for each mod you did to the engine so people will know how much it will all cost. Just a suggestion, no offence intended. I want to something similar to a BEAMS engine that I want to run in my AE86, minus the Stage2 injection. Those are some solid numbers with no port work and no cams Cheers |

ahh a classic case of if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it (I know I can't at the moment)Forgot to add tuning/dyno time to the costs. |

you need a ecu that has 8 injector drivers to run a v8 so you can then have 2 injection tables |
