Hey guys I'm in the stages of getting everything together for when I finally get the time to put the turbo on and was just wondering what everyone did in terms of intercooler and piping? I've got the intake to the turbo that came with the kit, (Trust I think? Came with e-manage ecu) as well another pipe that looks like the intake off those kits you can get from trademe. Any help/words of advice is appreciated

I am in the same situation all I need is intercooler piping. I have a mate who has the full greddy intercooler piping kit and he said I could borrow it to get another set mandrel bent at auto bend as they have a cnc bender I am going to get a price at some stage and I can get you a set done to and anyone else who needs it. |

Oh wow yea that'd be awesome! The fitment was my main worry as I imagine it's going to be quite a snug fit once it's all plumbed up and having it fabricated with a genuine kit for reference is enough peace of mind for me Let me know when you've got a price for it all and we'll sort out payment etc. Thanks heaps!

yea thats all good as I was going to buy one of the $250 kits off trade me but nick said that the fitment was horrible and I know the greddy kits are a good fit. |

G-ready emanage ultimate, what are you going to use? Yeah I'm real excited lol I can't wait for it to be done! I got 540cc injectors and fuel pump ect so it should be a pretty powerful turbo altezza, I have not spent heaps on the turbo which may limit the car but a turbo is bolt on so it's not like I can't replace it, what are you expecting to gain out of yours? I'm hoping for 200rwkw, which should be sweet with fuel pump, and injectors |

4TEZNU what injectors did you end up going with? I've already got a JZA80 fuel pump and been looking at getting 3SGTE injectors, keen to keep it within the Toyota family haha |

I got 540cc injectors of a caldina GTT cause they fit the altezza directly, the ones I got had been jet checked and everything and were running at full capacity, where as after market ones you have to tune, I prefer brand new stuff for fuel and got a walbro 550hp fuel pump, but what your using a supra one I believe is more than fine. Theres no point doing fuel pump and not injectors, so yeah if your out for cheap ones find a crashed gtt and go for it! |

The ECU will automatically adjust to the 540cc ST215 injectors for it to idle, not enough to drive. They are just the same impedance, plug and approx same length as the factory ones. The car will NOT drive with just plugging the larger injectors in |

Thanks Nick had a nice read through all of that, it's reassuring to see I'm on the right track with the whole +t project. Will the e-manage help at all with the drivability when I swap the injectors over? Just to get it to the tuners, if not I'll just tow it haha |

So even with the emanage, it won't drive without a complete re-tune if I put the 540cc injectors in? |

No problems guys, most of what you are going through now someone else has done so at some point too. And no even with the eManage in (untuned) it won't do anything. Untuned means it's got no idea how to drive the injectors |

so question, do you have the software to do the tune on the emanage with?? have you spoken to rodney at roskilda yet? he doesnt have software to tune the emanages as far as i know. he turned my m8s sti wrx away that was running a emanage ultimate as the pure cost of setting the thing up and then tuneing wasnt worth the cost. piggyback=crap. |

Ditto always consult your local tuner first, if not you'd need to tow your car miles away. Disagree on the whole piggyback = crap theory. Why go full standalone if all the adjustments needed can be done by a cheaper piggyback? By all means a standalone is great (Link, Autronic, Motec, Apexi etc etc) but my GReddy eManage Blue (aka poverty pack) is still in my car along side my factory ECU and still going strong |

I have a supra fuel pump and a set of sard 540cc injectors. However I am just going for straight bolt on. Running the car at actuator pressure until the end of the year and then wind up the boost. I am also running an emanage ultimate. Heres the greddy base tune that comes with the altezza turbo kit plus all the support software courtesy of leiden. Should help to get the tuning cost down http://z4.invisionfree.com/lexusaltezzaclu...pic=11229&st=0& |

I made my own from alloy bends sourced from autobend, and used a medium sized bar and plate intercooler. I have a tig so i could weld it myself. your options are this: - Make your own like i did using bends/donuts/pipe sourced from autobend (alloy/stainless) and various silicon joiners. - Take it to a performance fab shop and have them fabricate it for you - Buy a Greddy Intercooler kit that is made to fit you car. which option you take depends on your cashflow, tools and mech/fab abilities. |

Hey I went and looked at my kit, and i can give you measurements of lengths of pipes and photos of each bend but theres no real way for me to measure the degree of the bend is there? So stoaked saw my turbo kit for the first time in real life! |

There's Intercooler piping kits on Trademe here As Nick said you can't just plug in the ST215 injectors and expect it to run properly. The ST215 injectors will flow more fuel than the altezza ones at the same duty cycle, more fuel = richer mixture, too rich and you'll wash your bores, thin your oil, foul your plugs, and it will generally run like crap. You can however work out the percentage difference and scale your fuel maps by that much, its rough but it will be enough to get you to a tuner. ST215 injectors idle fine without any adjustments because they have a higher latency and the ecu is able to compensate with its fuel trims. Anything out of closed loop and its going to run like crap. |

Yea I looked at them initially but a few people on here have said that the fitment is horrible, 4TEZNU asked if they guaranteed fitment and they said no, so that's a bit off putting. As for it running once it's got all the turbo gear on, I'm really only after a rough tune anyway just so I can nana it to the tuner as I don't have the expertise or equipment to get it dialled in and running properly. |
