Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows if it'd be possible to set up a 2JZ-GE+t for around 5k? Not after ridiculous amounts of power, just enjoying the torque of a 6 cyl but can't be without a turbo haha. Am hoping to run it with the J160 I already have. Any help or words of wisdom pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated

$5k would be pushing it. Try for the following. Internally gated turbo from Falcon XR6 turbo - lots around 2nd hand. ($500 +) Some sort of manifold ($200 - 1200) Caution china ebay! New dump pipe + exhaust mods (400 - 1000) Some sort of intercoopler + piping ($500 +) Upgrade fuel system to rising rate tank return system (hoses + fittings $200 min) Deutschworks pump $180 possibly injectors ($100+ each) cheap fuel reg sard or equiv ($150) Some sort of ecu upgrade ($1500 +) Tuning ($600 +) Its gunna be tight - and relies apon you being able to do all the assembly yourself and have friends who can do fabrication for you.Tthe setup above is extremely basic. If it cost much less than $10k to get started - everyone would have done it by now. To take it much further - you need to spend big bucks. |

if get this running 10 psi. It could make ~250 rwkw (maybe) and your clutch will fail, closely followed by your gearbox. The diff will hold up so long as you dont let it axle tramp - ever, or do single leg skids for more than .5 of a second. Don't skimp on tuning / ecu / or the fuel system - or it will be unreliable / crap to drive / or simply blow up. Don't wish to be negative - but budget right and you will have a fun machine. Unfortunately this stuff dont come cheap. |

Awesome cheers for the info It's all good, just kinda looking for a base figure so I can get stuff rolling. Once I sell my 3SGE turbo kit will have another 2-3k to play with along with whatever I can put aside each week.
