Hey guys, i got a set of st185 rods and pistons from the courier today, i cant be bothered looking threw the threads so im just wondering if its possible if i can use the piston from my st185 rods on my build? if so what sort of compression would this give me? Or would i be better off getting some 2jzgte piston? cheers |

If you can't be bothered looking through one thread, why should people be bothered to help? Not being harsh but it'd be quicker to look there yourself than wait for a reply. The answer though is no you can't use the ST185 pistons, 2JZ ones will need machining and the rods will need machining to fit the factory pistons. All on the first page of the FAQ on turbos I'm pretty sure. |

No need to 'look through' all the threads, search function works best!http://z4.invisionfree.com/lexusaltezzaclu...opic=7121&st=25 The ST185 rods aren't a straight drop in either, you'd need to shave a little off the sides to fit the inside of the piston. 2JZGTE need machining on the skirts to suit the squirters and inside of piston to suit the rods |
