He asked if the auto head would fit even though it's a manual engine, the answer is yes it should fit. Don't know if it runs fine on the Manual ecu?

Question is though, did the pistons and bore get damaged by the shattered valves?

At the end of the day you can buy a whole engine for $1k why not do that and just throw it in? Could end up cheaper at the end of the day.

And have you tried talking to xNickx to see if he has any valves in stock?

I'd be very surprised if there was any difference between the auto and manual head. Generally toyota never make distinctions like this - it makes no sense.

Please at least try to punctuate and structure your posts in here, it may 'only be an internet forum' but if you expect a considered answer - try proof reading your post before you 'add reply'.

There are differences,

Manual are titanium valves and bigger, with different cams too, slightly higher compression.

Auto are Steel valves and smaller, slightly lower compression.

They also have different rev limits.

I think they done this to avoid the Auto versions being horrible down low, as the auto one does make its max torque alot earlier.

There is a difference, Matt. The manual head has larger, titanium valves. They should be interchangeable. Not sure about the ECU though. I know Corey is running an auto head, but he is also running a Power FC

Unfortunately sorry to say Matt they are different, ToyoDiy is a very old EPC system which can give wrong details (a huge headache for me!)

SXE10 6MT
Inlet camshaft - 13501-88570
Exhaust camshaft - 13502-88570
Inlet valve - 13711-74140
Exhaust valve - 13715-74140

SXE10 5AT
Inlet camshaft - 13501-88560
Exhaust camshaft - 13502-88571
Inlet valve - 13711-88560
Exhaust valve - 13715-88560

The 5AT 3SGE also have a lower rev range and use steel valves where the 6MT uses taitanium.
A few members (TurboTezza aka Corey) have opted to go for the 5AT head with the steel valves etc for their engines.

Contacting me for parts

Well that sucks, guess you better find a manual head.

YEah Sorry Nick - I found other sources confirmed otherwise as well.

What a PITA to have mech differences from auto to manual.
