Hi gurus,
Recently I bought a 5AT Altezza. In general the car is fine, except a few concerns. One of the concern is the shake or jerk when ever I shift from park to reverse or from park to drive mode. it does the same if I shift from neutral. May I ask for some help ? it make the ride a bit uncomfortable.......

To H1Vltg3NZ: When car is cold, the rpm drop from 1500 to around 1050; when car is warm is drop from 750 to 650ish. Is this normal ?

To Tezz-Winnie: I thought about the engine mounts as well, but what is the best way to examine or inspect them ? I took a look some days ago, I realised the previous owner might has installed TRD mounts already,as I can see the TRD sticker from both front ones. It doesn't mean they won't break again. From my inspection, they looks alright, with right amount of gaps at the connection points. Could that be the transmission mount ? or torque converter ? if yes, where will them be ?

thank you for your inputs

oil level is fine, as it has been done the 100K major service from toyota. What could be other possible cause of this problem ????

Can any other people suggest me ?

See if you can orgainise to meet up with a few other owners of auto Altezzas, see what their cars are like in the same situation. You may find it's completely normal...

Have you owned other autos before? Better or worse when shifting the trans than the Altezza?

I have own a few auto before, and this one is quite abnormal. It shake noticably and uncomfortably. I believe this won't be a normal case.
Has any other auto owners experience a similar problem or having this type of issue now ?
Would that be the transmission mount or torque converter ? where are them?
