Hey, just wondering if it's weird or impossible to run a turbo on a automatic IS200?

I believe "lexism" is running his IS300 turbo with an auto.

I was looking into an Aristo JZS161 Engine swap which is an auto. Because its a fairly straight forward swap into an IS300

But with the 1GFE I think you are going to have to get a lot of parts made so that is going to cost a fair bit.

ah i see, cause i just assumed it might be real similar to a Chaser. But i suppose yeah, would cost a fair bit.

That is why so many people swap out the engines for a 1JZ or a 2JZ. You can take these engines further than the 1GFE will go, used and aftermarket parts are everywhere for them.

Just some food for thought.

My mate has a Chaser TRD version, said he beat a M3 with it. Not bad for a stock auto

Wonder if the factory 1GGTE exhaust manifold bolts on, or more to the point a 1GGZE supercharger and bracket bolts on to the 'new' 1GGFE block?

Surely someone must have tried already :)

Brett is the man to speak to. He did alot of work on developing the cheapest most relaible 1G-FE turbo.

As far as the 1G-GZE supercharger goes there is no point in going down that route, the charger is far to underated and would cost to much to get working for such a little power gain...
