why? beams is a far better engine even in turbo form!
wheels are far to big and guards do not suit at all, again way too big!

That's the style... Probably doesn't do much for the ride.

The motor was a strange choice I thought, but it should give good midrange.

In a very small town in NZ (Mamaku) a 200SX turbo with three locals in pulled in front of me in the 70zone, so I harassed them gently then dropped back enough to accelerate as the 100 sign came up. They nailed it but never had a chance to get away, so the performance is not that different.

Apart from being sacrelige an SR20DET is a good idea from a cost/benefit point of view.

To make an equivilent beams motor, need low comp pistons, turbo kit, ECU, injectors, tuning, etc etc THOUSANDS of dollars difference!

An SR20DET with factory ecu sure is a lot more cost effective.

But then again, I think a 1J or 2J is even better :D

the best factory SR20DET's (S15) only made 30kw more than a factory beams, although with alot more low-end torque. For your money, a factory 3s-gte or greddy turbo kit would probably go in a lot easier and make even more torque, although a factory 2JZGTE would be even better...
RS200Z 6MT, yes please!!

Much easier to get power out of a SR20 than a 3SGE. 250rwkw on stock bottom end is quite common and reliable, at 18-20psi, even a few getting about with closer to 300rwkw on stock internals.

I'd still go 1j though for the hassle!
