Hi all, I've got a pair of TTE seats (driver and passenger) that i've got up for sale. They're from a Starlet originally and are now sitting on custom rails for the IS200. They were originally in Gleen Austin's RS200Z, but are now in my car. I'm returning the interior back to stock. They're KONIG brand, and replacements are about 2grand a piece. They're a german seat, very good quality. Volkswagen and Lamborghini used them before they sold out to recaro. Ill get some pictures up soon. I bought them off is1000 a couple of years ago for 1200 bucks and since then have not had much (any) use as my car has been off the road for ages. I'll give them a clean before the new buyer takes them Don't PM me i don't come on forums any more. If you're interested, call me on my mobile or text me zero four two for two zero nine six zero six. I want 1000 obo. I'm fairly negotiable Thanks |

Sorry mate, I didn't mean to cut down your asking price. I just knew the old for sale thread had photos. Sell them for $1000 they are one of a kind in Australia. Something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it |

mmm that is the only reason i need heavily bolstered seats really but I would love them to be a touch lighter... If they arent sold by the start of march Ill make an offer but at the moment I have to much crap to use my hard earned on ![]() Got to love owning an Altezza. These bad boys dont have airbags in the factory seats so engineering is a breeze! |

Not something I personaly would be advertising champ... The RTA's stance is that if the car is fitted with an airbag it is not to be removed. There is certaint ADRs that concern this but I wouldnt go testing it. Are you sure your engineer knew your car had airbags fitted to the seat? All it takes is one wise RTA signatory and your passing through the pits. Same goes with steering wheels and making dash modifications around the passenger airbag. Hell its illegal to put seat covers on our cars that dont conform to the same ADRs because it interfears with the operation of the airbags I have a defect notice to prove it from my IS200!
The only way you can get away with it is if the engineer can prove that removing airbags does not increase the likelyhood of injury to anybody within the vehicle. It takes alot of trust between yourself and an engineer for them to willingly sign off on that without putting 5-6 of them in a crash simulator... |
