People have done it but I havent heard anyone doing it to their altezza. It would be one laggy dyno queen though if you didnt do it properly. You basicaly utilise a small supercharger to boost around 6PSI very early in the rev range wich means small gearing then you use a large compressor turbo such as a GT3082R with a .64 housing to fill in the gaps. It wouldnt spool till about 3.5K but thats what the supercharger is for. Thats a very rough set up without looking at compressor maps ect but it gives you a rough example of how to do it. Just think of it like a sequential turbo setup only without turbo lag. There is alot of work to go into this btw... |

Complicated is an understatement! Basicaly the more over lap the harder it is to tune and in this band the system becomes really inefficient because you have the supercharger trying to overcome the turbo pressure which really doesnt happen anyway. Then you want to beable to disengage the charger when the turbo hits boost so you dont kill your top end... Its really not as easy as it sounds. Then you have all the issues of boost spikes during the over lap ect that the wastegate might not beable to keep up with. Not to mention these systems are expensive as all $#@% |

Its also a hell of alot easier to do it the right way! Both have their advantages and disadgantages though... A really well put together SC +TC however will theoretically have no lag and continue up to whatever rpm your valve train can handle
