Does altezza only use one O2 near the CAT? or is there one at the exhaust.
plugged a diagnostic computer to check the car, it threw O2 sensor error.
had a look at the exhaust i do see a hole for some type sensor input but it's blocked by but a screw?
Thinking this has to do with the inconsistant rev problem i've been having

generally how much would one cost?

Im no guru but I beleive the 4cyl 3SGE only has one while the 6cyls run two.

On the 4cyl it is located just after the 2-1 section on the inside of the pipe (dont know about the 6's.

Its a 4 wire plug (12v, Earth, 2 ECU).

From memory it plugs in to the drive tunnel somewhere close to the sensor/gearbox where it joins the main loom in the car. As long as that plug is there you should just be able to get another oxy and plug it in.

I was told that the altezza doesnt run a normal sensor by a sparky and that you need some special type or a toyota one so I was quoted mega bucks. I just went to the wrecking yard and got a couple of 2nd hand ones for free. :)

Just means you'll be running in open loop mode. Could definitely explain your fuel problems ie running too rich to lean on idle. Computer has no way of referencing the ISCV (Does it exist on an Altezza though?).

If thats the case you wont have to worry about the weekend. Car runs in open loop mode over 4K coupled with high throttle anyway as it cant keep up with all the changing variables and the high exhaust flow and if your granny driving around a race track you shouldn't be there lol
