I have developed a whistle when vvti kicks in. Any ideas on cause and soultion?

Very odd.. The ECU sends a signal to the VVTi valves, they open and allow oil pressure to turn the cams relative to the cam belts. Nothing in there that I can see that would whistle. Is it likely to be metal rubbing in the VVTi setup?
Maybe its a manifold leak related to the extra grunt.

I've had the manifold checked for leaks. ill check the oil feed next.
