Hmm...they sound pretty interesting. Very heavy though, but I can see how these two would probably be good for a report.

I really want to read Perks eventually. I wonder if I could get that from the library too. I'm way too excited to be able to use a library up at school now too! :D

hehehe, school libraries are pretty good sometimes. Especially when you get to know the librarian really well and can take more books out than the limit says. :P

Perks is probably the better of the two, slightly. Only slightly. . . it's a great kind of... happy/sad book. Bittersweet? Kind of.

I like deadlines.

I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Hmm...I don't know much about the school library. It's a public library in the town that I just got a card too. All our school library is good for is books and journals for papers. Hence why I'm so excited about the public libary. :) But I can definately see how knowing the librarian is a good thing. Must be fun. ;)

ah. . . public libraries are not so much fun, because the woman at the Internet counter just sees your scruffy teenaged attire and is nasty when you want to get online. ._.;

Least, that happens to me. XP

our school library's great though... guess it has to be, since most of the pupils can't actually get to a real library during term time. >_>;

Lucky. I think the scifi club has books somewhere on campus, but I don't really know what they have. Hence the public library. I don't like the librarians at the library I go to back home but the people here seem nice. Which is good. I don't think I've ever used a public library to go online. Heh.

Me too. I wanted one like so much.

Hehe...maybe I should consider the puppent dragon I got at the Ren Fair my daemon. XD

And Lyra/Will....I cried when they said goodbye.

I've never read Lyra's Oxford, although I want to. Have you?

I got it for Christmas... it had a cute little story called "Lyra and the Birds," and a few digetic-type things like a map of the Oxford Lyra lives in and a postcard from Mary to one of her friends that shows the Hornbeam trees, and the bench where Lyra and Will have their Midsummer's Day ritual. It's a neat little book.

The Cestus Deception. It's overdue at the library and I can't renew it, but I'm not done so I haven't returned it yet. :hehe

Yeah, Lyra's Oxford is very cool. So pretty. ^_^

Am now reading Solo Command. I'm just a few pages past Wedge's-revenge-on-Wes, and I'm rather surprised I didn't die laughing. But I'm still alive, apparently. Allegedly.

Don't Bend Over in the Garden, Granny, You Know Them Taters' Got Eyes - Lewis Grizzard

I'll finish that tonight and maybe start rereading His Dark Materials.

I've never heard of that book. What was it about?

And dude: reread His Dark Materials. It'll be fun to have someone else to talk to about it. :D

It's basically a book about sex :P

Lewis Grizzard was a really popular humor columnest with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution back in the 80s and early 90s. Funny, funny man. I saw the book at Goodwill and picked it up... now I have to find his other books and add to my collection B)

Hehehe, I'll definately be reading HDM next, just don't know how fast I'll go with all the other stuff November has decided to throw at me. *pokes crazy month*
