Taanab Darling: assuming it is evening wherever you are on denon and you're not just messing with my head WraithLoran : yeah, it's evening... full moon too. Taanab Darling: blue, per chance? Taanab Darling : Is Sharr that bad? WraithLoran : He's not bad, per say... I just never found someone before who had an ego bigger than you. I have better control of it Taanab Darling: if you say so. grin WraithLoran : I've gotten to the point where I think Intel is trying to phase the Wraiths out... Taanab Darling : I don't blame them-- I mean... why do you say that? WraithLoran : We haven't had a good assignment since the whole Vong epidemic. We keep getting little one or two people missions... nothing that requires us all to be together anymore... it's like they want to disband us... Taanab Darling : I'm sure you're just getting paranoid in your old age Taanab Darling : what would they want to disband the wraiths for? you guys are the best of the best (cause I helped train some of you, of course) WraithLoran : I dunno... maybe I'm paranoid, but they havne't let me recruit for open positions, and it just feels wierd. I mean, I'm sitting here at a desk doing paperwork, and I've been in intel for how long now? Taanab Darling : starts counting on fingers; gives up ... a long time. ...well, that does all sound suspicious I guess WraithLoran : And they keep requesting Kell for this and that, and I know the poor guy just wants to finish soon and retire to be with his wife and son... i swear I'm losing my mind Taanab Darling : ...wait, hold up a second. you still have your mind? WraithLoran : I locked it up in a cabinet somewhere after Wedge promoted me so that when i finished, I would still have it. Taanab Darling : well stang, I wish I'd thought of that Taanab Darling : but I think mine ran away before I'd ever have had the chance anyway.. WraithLoran : side effect of that Kessel fever you got on yavin, perhaps? Wedge said you were normal back then Taanab Darling : might have been. I'll have to add it to the list of symptoms at some point, then. WraithLoran : -=nods=- side effect of kessel fever - loss of sanity and maturity. Case Example - Wes janson Taanab Darling : hmm yes, absolutely. if I ever have an encounter with a medical encyclopaedia I'll try and add it in.. WraithLoran : Get Piggy to help you with that... he's gotten good with hacking Taanab Darling : ...I'm almost afraid to ask why Taanab Darling : almost WraithLoran : He's good with numbers. Taanab Darling: so he felt like improving his slicing skills? hey, it works.. WraithLoran : we needed a good code cracker after you left, and piggy just kept working on it and really got into it. Taanab Darling : well, it's always a useful skill in squadrons grin WraithLoran : especially when you need to develop new security codes on datapads... or need to break into others datapads. I swear he does it for sport sometimes. Taanab Darling : slicers... mock sigh all the same like that... WraithLoran : give the gamorrean a break. he's also deveoped some really good computer games the last few years. great for long distance recon missions. Taanab Darling : ooh games! all right, that's better Taanab Darling : something you can actually use WraithLoran : -=laughs=-
