Kyp, all decked out in the fanciest set of Jedi robes he had brought to Hapes, slid into the Palace Atrium. He had been careful as he made his way there, making sure he wasn't being followed at all. It was only a wedding after all... not like he was on his way to kill someone or something. Although the wedding was supposed to be an absolute secret -- and he knew if someone did find out about it... Jacen would be disappointed and give him that sad, disapproving glance --- Kyp wasn't worried about that. He was worried about how bad Tenel Ka would beat him up. With a snicker, Kyp leaned back against the glass windows of the Atrium and waited. He figured Danni would show up very soon. He wasn't sure about Jacen and Tenel Ka -- they always seemed to be busy, in many places at once. |

Danni walked into the room where the wedding was going to be. She tugged the cloak from her shoulders to reveal the somewhat elegant sheath gown beneath that was a deep hunter green. She wanted to look nice as a witness for Tenel Ka and Jacen so she thought it was appropriate, but she had to hide it. Last thing she needed someone asking was why she was all decked out. Though I suppose if I'm truly questoned I could just say that I was meeting Kyp for a date at a fancy restaurant.... She looked up as she entered, pausing when she saw Kyp. |

A smile tugged at his lips as he saw Danni, his eyes lighting up a bit. He sauntered over to her, placing his hand on her shoulder. "You look great," he smiled brightly in the dim light of the Atrium. "Jacen and Tenel Ka should be here soon. I'm kind of nervous about doing this correctly. I've never done this kind of thing before." With a sigh, he led her over to the large windows where he stared absently out to the night sky. |

Danni slid the cloak from her shoulders and set it aside. She walked over to Kyp, tilting her head, blonde locks falling over her shoulder to lay against her breast just below the neckline of her dress. She put a hand at Kyp's waist. "You are going to do just fine, Kyp. I know you are." She looked up at him, tilting her chin up a bit to get a better look at his handsome face. "Jacen and Tenel Ka wouldn't have asked you to do this for them if they didn't think you were the best person for it." |

Durron reached down and grabbed her hand from his waist between both of his. He squeezed it gently, grinning. "Thank you. I need as much support as I can get right now. I'm really nervous for some reason, nervous that I'm gonna mess it up somehow for them." He paused, his eyebrows raising. "Me, nervous." A few blinks. "Heh." |

Holding his breath, Jacen Solo dashed from corridor to corridor, on his way up to the Palace Atrium. The place where he had proposed to Tenel Ka mere days earlier. Striding down the halls, he tried to avoid any contact with passing people... some handmaidens who passed seemed to watch him, probably wondering why he was aimlessly wandering around so late at night... and dressed so fancy. With a quick brush of his right hand through his scruffy brown mop of hair, Jacen slipped into the giant hall, the high clear ceilings stealing his gaze. He could feel Kyp and Danni over behind one of the groves, he could hear them quietly speaking to each other -- but once more he was taken by the view the room gave, his eyes back out towards the ocean beyond the Palace walls. He waited for Tenel Ka. |

As the Queen Mother stalked down an empty hallway, she wondered how hard it would be to run in heels if someone approached. She also wondered if she had dressed herself correctly for this occasion. She had never had a wedding before, how was she supposed to know how to dress? Her right hand smoothed a crease in her maroon dress -- a dress she had scowled at, at first, as it hung there taunting her in her wardrobe. But a second glance made her pull it out and examine it, third glance was her trying it on. And after that it was decided that it was going to be what she wore to her wedding. The thin straps sat on her shoulders and the neckline drooped just enough that she could wear one of her mother's old necklaces... it was one her father had given to her, before she died. The actual necklace was a simple brown string, but a striking gray stone, polished neatly, hung at the end. Her hair was down and the necklace seemed to bring out Tenel Ka's eyes, which were rimmed with a brown shade. The heels were the only part of the ensemble that seemed to annoy her the least bit, and she could learn to deal with those. If her grandmother had it her way, people would be dressing her. She wouldn't have dressed herself. Ah Grandmother. If you only knew of this wedding. I am sure you would be absolutly astounded. In the worst way possible of course. Thinking of her grandmother brought a sneer to her face and she instantly wiped thoughts of the commanding wench out of her mind. She glanced around, thinning her slightly colored lips at the empty hallway and when she was sure no one was around she crept through the Atrium door. Instantly spinning around, Tenel Ka punched in the code to lock the door from the inside and turned back, almost running into Jacen. "Having second thoughts, Solo?" |

"Excuse me, Your Worship. But if I recall correctly, you just arrived. You're late. If anyone was having second thoughts, it would seem like you're the likely candidate for that." He didn't look over to her until he had finished his ramble and tearing his eyes from the gorgeous landscape, they moved to something he easily found more beautiful. Jacen stood with his jaw a bit slack, hands clasped behind his back. The high collar on the jacket he wore wasn't helping him at this moment, as he was feeling a bit hot under it. As he turned to face Tenel Ka, not taking his eyes from her, he could feel the bottom hem of the jacket hitting the insides of his knees. It was black -- the whole outfit of his was -- with hints of dark green here, accents of deep blue there and traces of burgendy at certain spots. Either on the collar, or the trim -- wherever it seemed to fit. It fit very well, by the way -- seemingly tailored to fit him perfectly. The physical stature he had gained after the war and such was still apparent as the jacket was gathered at the small of his back and buttoned up perfectly over his chest. When he had put it on, he had thrown the Solo grin to himself and nodded. He thought he looked pretty smashing. But now here was Tenel Ka... And all he could manage was: "Are you... wearing makeup?" |

Danni smiled at Kyp's comment. "We all have the ability and our moments of nervousness. I'm sure the day will come when you'll be in Jacen's position and you'll be nervous to walk down the aisle and pledge yourself to someone forever." Danni shifted to face him more, squeezing his hand with hers gently. "For now, let's get Tenel Ka and Jacen married." |

Kyp stopped for a minute and thought about him in Jacen's position, something he never really given any thought to. With a twist of his lips he tried to push the thought to the back of his mind, telling himself he would dwell on it more later. For now, he had a task to perform. "Yes, let's do just that. Then we can get off this rock," Kyp chuckled. "I told my friend Tenkin we'd be leaving soon. Can't let him down or he might smack me." Which was true, the man would smack him upside the head. But Kyp knew it would be alright because they were leaving that night, after he got Jacen and Tenel Ka married. His eyes caught movement through the plants, near the door of the chamber. "Speaking of..." He moved his head a little, to peer around the wall of greenery and saw the two exchanging words by the door. Kyp couldn't help but crack a sly smile. |

Danni watched the thoughts play through his mind. I wonder if he realizes how much he reveals deep in those dark eyes of his? "Yes, I'm ready to go too, once we get them married." She turned and shifted her head just so and a smile began to form, the dimple in her one cheek deepening as she saw Tenel Ka and Jacen speaking. She cleared her throat and walked towards them. |

"Possibly." Tenel Ka arched an eyebrow, trying to keep a smile from breaking out and easily succeeding. "What? You do not think my wedding is an occasion I would wear makeup for?" She paused. "Hm. Yes. I guess you are not worth me wasting the time Jacen, I will remember never to wear it again." Another joke? What was this? And she only seemed to do it around him. Even now, after all these years, Jacen still made her feel comfortable enough to do something like that. She watched him react, that grin crossing his face as it had done so many times since they had met. Giving him an approving glance, she tilted her head, admiring the way his outfit seemed to fit him. "You took that from Gadell, did you not?" |

Danni walked over to them, leaning against a pillar as she watched the play by play between Jacen and Tenel Ka. She smirked a little, glancing over her shoulder to where Kyp was standing. She focused her attention on the Queen Mother and her future King. "Excuse me, your Majesties, but I believe we should get you two married before ye ole' Jedi Master pops a blood vessel from nervousness," she teased. |

Jacen placed a finger to her lips. "I have no idea what you're talking about." Truth was, he had taken the outfit from Gadell. He borrowed clothes from the man earlier in his trip, so why not once more? Hm? The man had so many uniforms anyways, would he really miss one? Luckily, Danni had walked over to them, so Jacen knew the subject of the outfit would be dropped. "Danni, hey." Glancing over Danni's shoulder, Jacen saw Kyp. "Is he really that nervous?" He was, Jacen could sense it. Solo let his gaze travel back to Danni and he placed his hands on her shoulders. "Thanks for doing this. It means a lot... to both of us." |

Danni smiled and reached a hand up to touch his cheek. "It's most certainly my pleasure, Jacen." She looked over at Tenel Ka. "You look beautiful, your Majesty." |
