Jar Jar sat on the chair behind a small table, leaning back underneath the shade of the nearby awning belonging to Master Conovan's booth. The middle-aged Gungan blinked in the the Theed sunlight, glancing briefly at the items on the table in front of him. A few of his possessions gathered over the years, no longer needed nor wanted in the former Republic senator's life. Selling them off wouldn't be that much of a hastle. No one told him it would be this boring though. |

Weaving his way through the crowded assortment of booths and beings, Khreth shaded his eyes against the bright sunlight, glancing around him at the wide assortment of shops. He had only been on Naboo a short time, so the sights and sounds were still new enough to interest him, although their charm was fading fast. He continued to work his way down the row of stalls, pausing in front of a small table, behind which sat a Gungan. He let his gaze rove over the items, examining them with mild interest. |

"Hidoe!" Jar Jar stood from his chair at the approaching customer - Mesa gots a customer! - eager to make a good impression. In his haste, he tripped over a rock, sending the chair flying backwards, a couple of items on his table flying, including a bowl of soup he had sitting there for lunch. The Gungan quickly looked away from angry Master Conovan and back towards the human male in front of him. He smiled. "Oh, mooie, mooie! Yousa my first customer of thesa day!" |

Khreth tried to keep from laughing, and only partially succeeded. To cover his amusement at the clumsy Gungan he bent down to retrieve a few of the items that had fallen on the ground. "Here, let me help." Standing, he placed them back on the table, his gaze lingering for a moment on an old holo of a smiling, brown haired woman. Deciding to let his curiosity get the better of him, he asked, as he set the picture back down on the table, "Who is she?" |

"Tank yousa," Jar Jar replied, shuffling items on the table to their original placement. He looked at the holo Khreth held in his hands, his eyes growing wide. "Dis da Queen of Naboo, muy muy years ago." |

Khreth considered asking just how the Gungan had gotten a picture of a former queen, but decided that it was none of his business. Instead, he decided to ask a slightly less personal question. "She looks awfully young to be a queen. What was her name?" |

"Padme Amidala." He looked down at the holo, a small smile on his face. Or however small a smile a Gungan can make. "Have yousa heard of her?" |

"No." Khreth replied, interested. This might be interesting. Besides, if he was the Gungan's first customer, he had probably been sitting here for some time without anyone to talk to. He might enjoy sharing almost as much as Khreth would hearing. |

Jar Jar looks at the man apraisingly. Not heard of Amidala? "Dat's a muy shame. She wasa una important person. Mesa was her friend! Wesa went on skeebeetle to Coruscant with Jedis Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and saved Naboo from da bombad Trade Federation!" |

"Really?" Khreth asked. Apparently the Gungan was either a very important person, or had a very active imagination. Or both. "And when did this happen?" He added, hoping the answer might help him decide just which of these possibilities it was. |

"Muy muy years ago!" He waves his hands while he speaks, as if to expand on just how long ago. "Before yousa was born!" |

Not too far away from the Gungan's booth, Jaina let out a small, frustrated sigh. She crossed her arms, staring at her companion. "I don't get it, Zekk. How'd we lose Ben? He was here a moment ago." Jaina bit down on her lip as she shook her head in disgust . She slowly turned around in place, trying to find some sign of the reddish mop of hair that belonged to her young cousin. Nothing. "Kriffing brat." |

With a tired exhale, Zekk frowned. "He's a kid. You look away for a split second and they're gone." He peered around the walkways and stone buildings and merchant carts. "If you were a kid his age, where would you go?" Zekk cursed at himself silently, he should know this kind of thing, he'd been a street kid most of his life. He knew of places to hide, places that every city had. But here, he was drawing a blank. He couldn't think like a street womprat anymore. He couldn't think like a kid. |

"Someplace where I wasn't supposed to go?" Jaina replied with a shrug, looking up at Zekk. "How many years did we spend exploring the lower levels together on Coruscant?" She chuckled softly at the memories. "Don't think Naboo is much like that planet though." She glanced at the nearby booths of the marketplace. "Maybe we could ask around?" |

He tilted his head as he glanced up and down the streets. No, this place wasn't like Coruscant at all. This place looked clean for one. No pollution, no traffic, no neon lights. Zekk let his eyes land on the rows of booths. "Sounds good." Stepping towards the nearest booth, Zekk peered between a human and a Gungan, holding out his hands in peace. "Excuse me. I'm sorry to interrupt, but you haven't seen a kid running around alone, have you?" He moved one of his hands down to his waist, motioning. "About this high. Red hair. Evil little kid smirk..." He bit his lip and waited for a response. |
