The Tourists from the Corellian Hells.; Kaidin, Tessick & Alema / Theed [07/14]

So here they were on Naboo. Kaidin in the lead, with Tessick and Alema in tow. Kaidin made sure to tell Tessick to keep a close eye on the twi'lek, just in case she tried anything stupid -- but she seemed very subdued for some reason. That made him feel even better because he knew everything was going just the way he planned for it to go.

Zekk and Jaina were on their way to Naboo, following Kaidin and his partner; Tessick was being a sweet little sithspawn and this Alema girl was going along with it all, despite that darling smirk pasted across her face.

They were in Theed, their ship parked outside the city in a field -- there was no way Kaidin was bringing his precious into the city and parking it there. And now that they had made their way to the Central Square, Kaidin inhaled deeply not-really taking in the architecture. "Ain't this just pretty." His voice was a monotone drawl... it became more enthusiastic with the next statement. "LET'S GET SOME FOOD!"

"I swear, Kaidin..."

Tessick was walking to the left of Alema, behind Kaidin, his right shoulder rubbing against the twi'lek's left. Kaidin assumed it was because he was supposed to be keeping an eye on her, making sure she didn't try anything.

And that was one of the reasons he was so close.

The other was because he seemed to be enjoying her company, even though she was still in a bit of a sour mood. She was kidnapped, after all. Tessick wanted to apologize to her for it, for some strange reason. But he didn't know why, and more importantly -- he had no idea how.

He was never one to apologize. He and Kaidin never apologized for anything they did to anyone. Anything at all.

And here he was, debating on it.

"...all you ever think about is food and glitterstim, and sometimes women."

"Killing! Killing and maiming, don't forget that too!" Kaidin peered around the square, visually hunting down restaurants. "Woo!"

With something between a sigh and a chuckle, plus the addition of a lazy eyeroll, Tessick came to a halt behind Kaidin, who was now stopped and turning his head. He was scanning the square, scanning the buildings around it, scanning the people in it. There were a good amount too.

The crowds were so large, who knew... Zekk and Jaina could be near them somewhere as they stood there stupified.

"Food sounds good though." He turned to Alema, nudging her a bit. "You hungry?"

Glancing around her, Alema did her best to stay focused and alert. If a chance to escape came her way she wanted to be ready, even though she had doubts about her chances. Despite their antics - which where making keeping a permanent smirk fixed on her face very easy - she suspected her captors were more than capable of stopping her. Besides, although she hated to admit it, it wasn't as though they had treated her badly thus far.

Turning to reply to Tessick's question she found herself having to fight to keep the smirk from becoming a genuine smile. He seemed to have taken it upon himself to keep an eye on her, and she couldn’t exactly say she minded. Irritated, she shoved such thoughts away for the moment, replying, "Food sounds pretty good right now, actually."

He nodded, turning his attention back to Kaidin. "Where to then, Serasai?"

Tessick watched the back of Kaidin's head as his partner debated. It was at that point he realized he was quite hungry as well. He couldn't even remember when the last time he ate was. Placing his hand over his stomach, he could feel it rumbling -- and he continued to wait for Kaidin to suggest a place.

Arching an eyebrow, Kaidin stood with his hands on his hips, his tongue running furiously over his lips as he tried to figure out what exactly he wanted. After a few more moments, he spun towards Alema.

"What are you in the mood for, sister?"

He narrowed his darkly lined eyes and continued to debate in his head on what would taste good right now.

Nothing like a meal to waste some time.

Alema raised an eyebrow skeptically, the only outward sign of what she thought of the kidnapper asking his hostage where she would like to have lunch. The smirk did not waver as she glanced around. After a moment her gaze settled on a small cafe ahead of them.

"That place looks as good as any." She suggested, waving a blue hand at the building to indicate it.

"Let's go harass the patrons then." Kaidin slinked forward, flipping his hair behind his shoulder. He casually glanced around, trying to look calm and collected -- but for as cool as he appeared, he was alert along with it.

Kaidin knew Zekk and his Jedi girly could be anywhere around at this point. And if they were nearby... Kaidin knew he wouldn't let them get away.

Inhaling deeply, Tessick watched as Kaidin started over towards the place -- with him and Alema in tow. He placed his hand on the small of the twi'lek's back and shuffled her forward gently, his eyes locked in front of him.

For some reason, he couldn't stop staring at the blasters Kaidin had hanging off either side of his belt.

He had a bad feeling that Kaidin would be using those very soon and tearing his eyes away from the weapons, he scanned the surroundings for any sign of Zekk.

Alema glanced around, taking in her surroundings. She blinked in slight surprise as she felt Tessick's hand come to rest on her back, and smiled unconsciously. She twitched her lekku slightly, brushing them against his arm as she did.

A small part of her mind warned her that flirting was probably not the best thing to be doing right now, but she decided to ignore it. After all, it might even improve her situation. You just keep telling yourself that’s your reason, sweetheart, the irritating part of her mind replied.

As they were seated at a booth near the front door -- as per Kaidin's request -- he slid into the seat closest to the open windows, sticking his head out every few minutes. He knew he should've been looking at the menu, but bounties were more important than food at that particular moment in time.

Especially this one.

A few minutes had passed since they'd ordered their food, and Kaidin and Tessick had both been fumbling with their datapads -- entering some pretty stupid and pointless entries into their holojournals. That's what boredom did to you. With a childish chuckle, Tessick slid his datapad back into the pouch at his side, his gaze drifting up to Alema.

He felt his cheeks flush a little at her eyes. He and Kaidin were acting like kids again -- it was either kids, sithspits or just plain idiots. They were always one or more of the above. Another quiet laugh sounded as Tessick picked up his drink and turned his head to peer out the window.

Is that...?

"Kaidin," he hissed, gently setting his glass down on the tabletop. Reaching back he slapped his friend on the shoulder and motioned out the window towards what seemed to be an alleyway across the central square.

A low maniacal giggle began to sound at the back of Kaidin's throat.

"Yesssss. That's that brat I was playing tag with back on Hapes."

Plans seemed to leap into the forefront of his mind -- that kid was the key to everything. Sure, Alema could take care of herself. But that little hellspawn couldn't.

"I'll be right back you two, don't start the meal without me." The giggle finally erupted into a rich sound, laced with malice. Kaidin could make anything sound nasty and malevolent.

Alema sat sipping her drink slowly, eyeing her captors with amusement, her lekku twitching languidly. Strange they might be, but boring they certainly were not. More than once she found herself suppressing a giggle as they played with their datapads like kids with new toys. It was almost cute.

Catching Tessick looking at her, she smiled flirtatiously, blue fingers toying with her glass as she returned his gaze. Much to her irritation, she was interrupted by Kaidin's departure. She slid out of the way to let him pass, wondering where he was going.

Watching him depart, she returned her attention to Tessick. "Well, I guess it's just the two of us, now." She purred, with a sharp-toothed smile.
