Orlha Tau was cold. Very cold. The ship that had . . . er, 'dropped' them off on Rhen Var had left her and her two adopted brothers with about five blankets and a small amount of water. No food. No way out. Just blankets, water and lots and lots of ice. Two days. It had been only two days since then and they had all had their fair share of whining. Luckily, the boys had shut up and had fallen asleep on either side of her. All three of them huddled on top of and under the five blankets. When her eyes snapped open, she saw green. Green skin. One brother accounted for. Eyelids fluttering slowly, she felt her right cheek again the rough blanket under her and her right hand behind her, fingertips resting on the smooth skin of a stomach. Second brother accounted for. Orlha quickly banished sleep from her system and shoved herself to a sitting position. "Get up," she commanded. |

Dairaen Tau was cold also. Very kriffing cold. He'd been lying awake for sometime. One couldn't sleep very well when this cold. However, his mind forgot about the cold somewhat when he felt a small feminine hand trailing along his stomach. Dairaen's eyes drifted up to his sister's face hovering over his. "I'm already awake, Orlha." He breathed torward her ear. "If you don't watch where your hand wanders, you may find something . . . else . . . getting up. And Sha'shuda won't like to miss out." |

However Sha'shuda was the coldest of the three. He wasn't quick in responding and only managed a sleepy smile. His whole body felt stiff and his usual peppy engery seemed like he had flown too close to the maw and it was sucked out. He rolled off his stomach and looked at his sister. "Mmm what miss out? Am I dead yet?" With a lazy stretch he sat up and the blankets fell off his green skin exposing a lighly toned body. "I'm really not designed for the cold you know. . . A nice mineral spring is more up my alley." His dark eyes narrowed and he smiled, "are you two starting without me? I need the heat more than either of you!" |

Clasping her fingers around the corner of one of the blankets that covered the three of them, Orlha selfishly wrapped it around herself and sat back on her haunches. One hand was holding the blanket shut around her small frame while the other was still resting on Dairaen's stomach, her eyes locked on Sha'shuda, who was stirring out of his beauty sleep. "We wouldn't dream of starting without you. Anyways, there's nothing to start." Under the blanket, she was still shivering, her breath coming out in short bursts of steam. "It's too cold to do anything." Right, too cold to do anything didn't really mean anything. But her mind was a bit more focused on surviving than anything else at the second. Even though she had two perfectly fit male specimens sprawled out in front of her. |

Dairaen grinned, stretched, and cocked his arms behind his head. He was staring at Orlha, acutely aware of her hand still resting on his stomach. That's when she stole his blanket. Frowning, he sat up and looked between his brother and sister. He was reaching to yank his blanket back from Orlha when he heard a sound. His head snapped around and he stared back up toward the mouth of the cavern. He scarcely moved. Dairaen couldn't believe his ears. "Guys, that sounded like the hatch opening." |

Through hooded eyes he watched his siblings shiver and fight to preserve their heat, but Sha'shuda did not shiver. It was something that only mammalian species did, he just barely had the energy to move. With a sleeply delay he saw his brother perk up and say something but the sound didn't reach his ears. He moved to follow Dairaens eyeline. "What is it? He's not back, is he?" The falleen moved to look back at the other two, "wasn't leaving us here enough?" The reptilian humaniod crawled slowly across the cave floor to press against the warm body of his sister. "Times like these I wish I had a Jedi bodyguard or two." |
