WELCOME! Mindbreak (previously Kriff This!) started out in 2004 mainly as a place for people to discuss the Expanded Universe aspect of the Star Wars fandom. Since then, it has become a place where all kinds of junk is talked about, so now this board is more of a multi-fandom, general board where we discuss all kinds of different craziness.

We are a friendly bunch and we don't bite, so come on in, register and take a seat. Put your feet up, get a drink, discuss all kinds of randomness (examples: video games, movies, costumes, conventions, tv shows, somebody's mom, graphics, web sites, har har har, blah blah) or take part in a side project (in-character forums, costume projects, BioShock roleplay, CV Non-Con, etc.)!

Posts: 6,020 Group: Admin t(-.-)t Member #1 Joined: March 1, 2004	-- BOYS WILL BE BOYS -- a WARRIORS soundtrack -- -------------- THIS SOUNDTRACK IS SPOILERICIOUS! Well, I definitely spoil the first five minutes of the movie hardcore, but it would spoil that event on the back of the box and stuff, so yeah. XD Welcome boppers, to Boys Will Be Boys -- a soundtrack dedicated to the 1979 cult movie The Warriors (listed as #16 on the top 20 Cult Movies Ever list XD). It's the story of a certain Coney Island gang who makes their way to a big meeting of gangs in the Bronx. Something goes wrong and everyone is out for their throat. Everyone. They have to make it twenty-seven miles back to Coney Island, which might sound easy -- but all they have in the subway and their feet... and it's not as easy with hundreds of people in rival gangs and the police, breathing down their necks. The movie is a story about that night. The night the Warriors proved to be one of the most badass gangs in the En Why Cee. NOTE: click the link at the top of thread (above the covers) to download the soundtrack. XD -------------- --- The Key to Gramercy Park - Deadsy --- I think someone's about to be carved. Cyrus is the leader of the Gramercy Riffs -- he's a man who tries to pull all the gangs together as one, so they can take over the city. Sure, his plan sounds hot. Sure, everyone's excited about it. Save for one man, Luther, the leader of the Rogues. He shoots Cyrus and later claims something about enjoying things like that. Hi, wut? Of course, he blames the assassination on the Warriors... which is how our story begins. All I can say is, CAN YOU DIG IT? -- every night looking for the fight thoughts on the left the action's on the right as you know, the id wasn't meant to be starved face white revenge of the Hittites when you're inside and you thought to take a walk in the park think someone's about to be carved -- ** --- Youth of the Nation - P.O.D. ---** So you have to wonder just what the hell all these punks are doing on the streets. Where are their parents? Where's their voice of reason? Where's their common sense? Well, the movie just wouldn't be if those things were present, yeah? All the gangs are made up of young adults and teenagers, most likely abandoned and all that jazz. (BUT WHO TOLD THE FURIES HOW TO PAINT THEIR FACES LIKE THAT~ THAT MUST HAVE MOMMIES SOMEWHERE. XD) -- who’s to blame for the lives that tragedies claim no matter what you say it don’t take away the pain that I feel inside, I’m tired of all the lies don’t nobody know why it’s the blind leading the blind -- ** --- Apollo I: The Writing Writer - Coheed and Cambria ---** So come on bitch, why aren't you laughing now? This song is just so nice to listen to when playing the game and smacking the hell out of other gang members trying to steal your turf / flash / car radios. You know the drill. Also, for when the boys are on the run. The situation called for nerves, which the boys never showed -- they just concentrated on running and getting back home. -- in these words that crash my ears i now stomach this with fear with my turn I gathered name as the bastard's son who by fire I would come through these wires I must cut atop this tower of loss and lust -- ** --- Thru These Architects Eyes - David Bowie --- CLEON -- The leader of the Warriors. He's a man of few words - and always looks out for his boys. Started the Warriors with Vermin after a feud with the leader of their old gang, the Destroyers. I chose this song for Cleon, cause while it's mellow, like him -- he's basically the architect of the Warrior's, and his proud of his babies. <3 -- all the majesty of a city landscape all the soaring days in our lives all the concrete dreams in my mind's eye all the joy I see thru these architect's eyes -- --- A Tendency to Start Fires - Bush --- SWAN -- The second-in-command, the Warchief. He's second for a reason -- he's the only one who would be able to keep a levelhead if anything ever happened to Cleon. Quiet, calm -- Swan knows when to kick it up a notch and light those fires. The ideal gang member, every gang should have a man like Swan -- maybe then they'd kick ass as much as The Warriors. -- here's tomorrow man, best of my ability chasing what I can, here's tomorrow man instinct, bare boned, light it up, take it home you will be all things, you'll get what you bring -- --- Stricken - Disturbed --- AJAX --** Ajax is always so angry. XD This song seemed to fit him quite well, especially given the circumstances he finds himself in about halfway through the night. Oh Ajax, you card. <3 You can't say much about the boy -- cause as much as you try to hate him, he just grows on you. His sneer, his lingo. He's a strong character. -- you walk on like a woman in suffering won't even bother now, to tell me why you come alone, letting all of us savor the moment leaving me broken, another time you come on like a blood stained hurricane leave me alone, let me be this time you carry on like a holy man pushing redemption i don't want to mention, the reason I know -- ** --- Block Rockin' Beats - The Chemical Brothers --- COCHISE --** I had to give Cochise a kickass groove. He's solid. You should play the game if you haven't already -- to get into the Warriors, he's told he has to steal a size nine hat from the Boppers. This bitch is a dancing machine and proves to bring some heavy muscle to the Warriors -- once he gets his hands on that hat. ;D -- back with another one of those block rockin' beats -- ** --- Only - Nine Inch Nails --- VERMIN --** He's the one claiming Ajax has a one track mind at the beginning. Yet who seems to be the first one to jump when he and Rembrandt and Cochise find a "lonely, innocent" group of girls. Oh, that's right! I THINK IT'S VERMIN. And come on, you can't take your eyes off that fuzzy chest of his. O_O This boy is jumpy. One second he's smirking the next he's flipping out about the train not leaving. Silly Vermin. <3 -- well the tiniest little dot caught my eye and it turned out to be a scab and I had this funny feeling like I just knew it's something bad i just couldn't leave it alone i kept picking at the scab it was a doorway trying to seal itself shut but I climbed through now I am somewhere I am not supposed to be and I can see things I know I really shouldn't see and now I know why, ya now I know why things aren't as pretty, on the inside -- ** --- Jump - N.E.R.D. f. Benji & Joel Madden --- REMBRANDT -- The "new kid" compared to the rest, Rembrandt is the artist. He's always the one with the spray can. You see a red W tagged somewhere? It was him. With a perfect 'fro and a huge smile, you can't help but love this kid. Especially the "get-away-from-me-whores" look on his face in the Lizzie's hideout. He's the kid, he just had to get out of the house. -- hello? hey mom, it's me mom can't tell you where I sleep mom cause that's where we be mom sometimes I steal and cheat mom yes, I get enough to eat mom mom, can you listen to me? no, I don't mess with guns yes in my travels I have seen one no, being a runaway is no fun but house rules sure were not fun -- --- High Sensitivity - RA --- COWBOY --** Light-hearted and positive, Cowboy keeps the group in good spirits (especially when they get to take his hat). He's definitely my favorite. There's something so innocent about him. Especially the shot of him sleeping on the subway with the baseball bat clutched in his hands. So cute. When Cleon was picking representatives from the gang to go with him -- it's like he picked Cowboy to go along to keep the group going. Without him, there just wouldn't have been that bounce. And see now, he's such a gentleman, always tipping his hat. XD -- i don't wanna run i don't have a place to run to i don't see the sun i don't understand what I must do substance races through my veins angels try to soothe my pain high sensitivity i wake up with my head still aching high sensitivity i hate all the mistakes I'm making my money's running out my shoes are wearing thin each day I break my back to end where I begin -- ** --- Paranoiattack - The Faint --- SNOWBALL --** This boy has one cool head. Nothing gets to him. And I mean nothing. He carries the boombox and the molotov cocktail -- he's like the arsenal. XD He knows how to stay alert and knows how to keep the other Warriors from going crazy -- he knows how to keep them all in check. They just wish they could be as serene as Mr. Snowball. <3 -- the news has got me paranoid papers and the news reports casualties of every war the anchor people keeping score -- ** --- Tired of Me - Live --- THE FOX -- The scout and the brains. Fox is basically a big dork. XD While all the others are known for their muscles, their attitude, their snark -- Fox is the one with the information. Swan calls on him when they come across the Orphans. Fox gives him what little information he has on the ghetto little gang -- as Swan and Fox smirk back and forth to each other. Unfortunatly, Fox doesn't make it to sunrise. ;-; -- you say, hold on to the reigns I say, let them go tonight my brain waves confused between what is and ain't she cries, groundless and free -- --- Dreams - Deep Dish/Stevie Nicks --- MERCY --** You learn a surprising amount about Mercy during the course of the movie. You find out she's not just some tramp out to have a good time. She actually has aspirations and she's actually quite clever (GASP!) -- another strong character thrown into the group of primarys, she's enough female to balance out all the boys and their macho cheese ways. XD -- now here I go again, I see the crystal visions i keep my visions to myself it's only me i want to be the one who wraps around your dreams and have you any dreams you'd like to sell dreams of loneliness like a heartbeat ... drives you mad in the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost -- ** --- Wallflower - Splender --- SWAN & MERCY --** These two are the definition of "opposites attract"... He's quiet, calm, collected. She's a loudmouth, snarky, slightly skanky little thing. Sparks seem to fly when they get together, and even though Swan pushes her away at numerous occasions -- he always takes her back. And in the early dawn, when he takes the discarded corsage and hands it to her claiming he "doesn't like to see things go to waste"... just awwww. -- nobody understands wallflower nobody gives a damn wallflower cannot get into you look what you made me do down, I'm so down if you kiss the dirt well then you'd see my reflection look around and I start to laugh no more need for photographs was there something you meant to say as I walked away -- ** --- Wikked Lil' Grrrls - Esthero --- THE LIZZIES --** I just had to give them their own track because this song is SO PERFECT. I can't even say anything else about this track. It just fits -- much like Vermin thought he would in the Lizzies' leader. (O SNAP.) -- wicked little girls kissed the boys and made them cry raising double trouble every time we pass them by and some might say we're wicked little girls with curves and kisses and pearly whites you better keep an eye on your boys and lock them up tight tight, tight, tight, tight -- ** --- Trouble - Virgos Merlot --- "WARRIORS, COME OUT AND PLAYAYAY~~" Luther thinks the Rogues have the upper hand at the end until the Gramercy Riffs arrive. Silly Luther, guns are for tools. (Oh, and special little gang leaders who are too pussy to just fight hand-to-hand) And the bottles, you totally could've used those for weapons instead of creepy little instruments... but NooOOooOO. You HAD to go back to the gun ...this is why you got served. -- and now your putting on your shoes my what a foul reaction and then you lose, composure with distractions are you confused, you can't believe we took action is this what you choose, it's hard to avoid disaster -- --- Sorry - Our Lady Peace --- Once they see the water, they know they're home free. The hours seemed to drag on forever and the night seemed to have no end. But as the sun rises over the water, the Warriors gather on the beach and stare out it, like an adorable little family of punks. They stuck together and kept their heads on straight, getting most of them out unscathed. -- today's tasting the honey today's the strike of a match and today's the lines in the pavement helping us to find our way back today's the crosses we carry today's the strength that we need and today's the hand of an angel you were not the kind to believe -- --- Theme from The Warriors - Barry De Vorzon ---** These are the armies of the night. **** THANKS AND HAVE A GOOD DAY -- and plz don't feed the Ajax. He's handcuffed to the park bench for a reason. <3

XD I just hope they all fit okay and stuff. O_O AND I TOTALLY HAD TO GIVE THE LIZZIES A SONG. XDDDDDDDDDD It took me damn long enough to make this thing, so they better. Kekekeke~
