Am I the only one not really excited about this whole thing? I'm kind of sick of the Clone War era and if I recall correctly we already had an animated series about pretty much the same thing. :|

(WAIT NOW ANAKIN HAS A PADAWAN :O)

BUT DISCUSSIONS FOR IT GO HERE. XD

Yeah, so I totally read that as ANAKIN HAS A POKEMON. Which would actually be pretty sweet.

Perhaps you don't believe we actually have a Strategic Helium Reserve. Perhaps you are a fool.

I wonder what kind of team Anakin would train if he was a Pokemon trainer...

(I'm actually really excited. True, they've been doing waaaaay too much crap with the Clone Wars, but I think the animation looks pretty cool [though I think I am one of only a few who think so x.x], and I like seeing more of lightside!Anakin =P And Ahsoka is cute!)

im not looking forward to this at all. i dont like the animation one bit. and with all the books out for the era, its gonna totally frack up the time line. and since it will have to be (for lack of a better word) dumbed down to appeal to more casual fans, i have expect the jedi to use the force and to see ripples coming out of their hands. it may create a a bit more cool costumes for people to try and make, but that will be the only silver lining.

the thing that i expect at this point is that they will treat the clones as nothing more than meatbad droids. no personality, no quirck. no variation. all the same. clones are people to. sure they will prolly flesh out that one clone they have shown and give him some personality and character, but not a whole lot.just enough for him to be viewed as another character and then he will prolly be viewed more as an exception to the standard clone than the rule. i kind of wish it would tank. which is a sad thing to say.

SHEELA.

That was all in comic books, he's actually fairly well developed there.

Except nobody reads the myriad prequel comics.

Because the prequel era is boring and stupid

I might check it out, but it turns out to be almost exactly like the first Clone Wars, I'm gonna skip out.

Not even gonna see the "movie" in theaters.

What? I haven't seen anything passing as "development", or even "backstory" in those comics XP

Plus the General Grievous series was pretty lame (and felt like the authors hated Grievous and wanted to make him look like a git).

Wait, this isn't another series of the Clone Wars cartoons? I was actually looking forward to another series as I enjoyed the first two... now I see the new animation just looks crap I'm really disappointed. Why did they scrap the style of the first two series? It was funky and different, the animation is partly why I watched it in the first place.

The Clone War era is already packed, how much more are they going to squeeze into a 3-year gap? I don't care about the continuity, but I'd like to see different eras explored. They could do so much with NJO comics, for example, plenty of story there.

they are choosing to focus on the clone wars because thats what main stream america knows. with the movies most ppl have a small idea of what is going on. if they tried to do NJO or any other era it would be a flop because most ppl have no clue that there is star wars outside the movies. i personally would love to see more from different eras.

Aye... I think a good Old Republic/Sith era series would be awesome.

I personally don't want to see any series done on the NJO, or any time after ROTJ, to be honest. Unless it something new, and not rehashing what's in the EU novels.

What I would want to see in this series (though I doubt much of it will ever be shown)...

Mara and Shira's family histories
Young Boba Fett
Roan Shryne and his second Padawan
What happened to Ventress after the war
Backstory on Cin Drallig
The Republic Commando people (not that I've read them, just to get KT more into general continuity)
Young Han Solo
Darth Sidious's POV
And finally... that mysterious Lus-ma form only Grievous seems to know

Lus-ma? Where does it say Grievous knows a new form?

Labyrinth of Darkness, I believe. Grievous is training with his bodyguards while Lord Tyrannus observes, silently naming the Forms as he switches between them. One of them is Lus-ma, and they give no information as to what the style is or its origin.

Maybe in the live action one, but this one is just Clone Wars.
