I have to agree about Michael Crichton. I think I've read just about every one of his books. Though Timeline will always be my favorite, Prey is definitely up there.

Looks like we're supposed to be reading The Long Walk by Stephen King. I've never actually read a King book, so I'm looking foward to this one.

Timeline is my favorite, as well. :D

This would only be my second one (not counting On Writing). :)

I'm about halfway through and I can't put this thing down. I only started reading it this morning.

Ok, wow, so for some reason I never saw that you finished Rhapsody, because I pay attention like that. I don't know if we want to try to discuss that while reading The Long Walk, or what but yeah, go book club for coming back to life!

That's fine. I can try to discuss what I remember, lol!
It was long, but it didn't really seem long to me, because it was so interesting. Even when they spent years in the middle of the earth on the roots, it didn't get boring.
I honestly want to read the next book. :D

And I will start the Long Walk soon. I need to finish what I'm on right now, first.

Alrighty then!

Honestly, for me, I just enjoy that book for the character interaction. I feel like the characters are the strong point, even if Rhapsody does tend to get a little Mary Sue-ish from time to time. And I totally recommend the next book!

Yay Long Walk!

Oh, yeah, I love that too... Especially the interaction between Rhapsody and Achmed.

Oh man, I am so in love with Achmed I cannot even tell you. They do increase in snarky awesomeness with each book, too, which is great! :p

Sweeeeeeet.
Wish I could say more, but it's been a couple months now and details escape me, lol.

Anyway, I'm about a 1/3 through Long Walk. I likes it so far.

I reread this just last week. I can't wait until everyone finishes it and we can discuss!
When his life was ruined, his family killed, his farm destroyed, Job knelt down on the ground and yelled up to the heavens, "Why god? Why me?" and the thundering voice of God answered, "There's just something about you that pisses me off." - Stephen King

The awesomeness of Richard Bachman Stephen King? The amazing friendships formed on the Walk? Ray/Peter OTP? Dancing on the moon? Art and his adorable southerness? Fucking OLSON?

The possibilities are endless here....
