WHAT'DYOO DO TO YER LEG, STU?

I figure costumes need to start being discussed because it's 2009! :O

ITEMS NEEDED BY EVERYONE: canteen, belt & food pouch (olive)!

THE WALKERS:

[ #02: Abraham -- Draetheus

But it ended. It ended with Abraham crawling on his knees, eyes turned blindly up to the halftrack and the crowd beyond, mindless and filled with confused pain. They were the eyes of a sheep caught in a barbed wire fence. Then he fell on his face. His heavy Oxfords drummed fitfully against the wet road and then stopped. (pg. 350)

No mention of the placement of bullet holes here. But of course, this means there will be one on the face somewhere visible for costume purposes. XD

CLOTHES: A tall boy with reddish hair in jeans and a T shirt. His jacket was tied about his waist schoolboy style and flapped wildly around his knees. (pg. 18) Also, later in the book: Abraham was quiet for a long time. His shoes were big heavy Oxfords that looked horrendously heavy to Garraty (whose own feet were now bare, cold, and scraping raw). They clopped and dragged on the pavement, which had now expanded to three lanes. DRESS SHOES, HEHE. ]

[ #03: Art Baker -- Aphy

Garraty put his hands over his face and had to bend over to keep walking. ... He hoped he wouldn't hear the shots. But he did. (pg. 364)

No mention of the placement of bullet holes. Garraty wouldn't look. I'm assuming the head -- since he went peacefully. Unlike Olson, who charged the Halftrack, hence the nasty gut-shots. To discourage the other boys from rebelling.

CLOTHES: Baker was up ahead -- he could tell it was him by the flapping red-striped shirt... (pg. 129) Also, Baker carries around a jacket or has it tied around his waist. ]

[ #49: Harkness -- TheQueenMother

There's no quotes on Harkness' death, as he gets his ticket "off-screen" -- so his makeup can go anywhere.

CLOTHES: I found no real mention of clothes. But it did mention glasses. And the fact that he's following Hint #3 and is not wearing sneakers, but loafers. ]

[ #61: Peter McVries -- Tenel Ka

McVries wouldn't even look at him. His eyes were shut. And suddenly two of the soldiers were wrenching McVries away from him. They were putting their guns to McVries's head. (pg. 367)

I'll assume a bullet hole or two in the head there too. Because all it mentions after that is McVries opening his eyes and smiling -- and then he was gone. And Garraty starts kind of going batshit. So no heavy description of his death.

CLOTHES: A jacket. A button-up shirt (there is mention of him unbuttoning it during the Pris story). And a knapsack (macaroons, a clean shirt and raw meat! XD). P.S. A scar on his left cheek -- from a letter opener. XD ]

[ #70: Hank Olson -- Lusa

Then one of the other three guns went off. Garraty saw the flash at the end of the barrel quite clearly. He saw the jerky ripple of Olson's shirt as the bullet entered his belly and then punched out the back. ... Three more bullets pumped into him. (pg. 245)

Olson has bullets all over him by the time he's done -- and there's mention of other nastiness (insides and other walkers reactions and ughhh omg) but I won't go into detail, you know what I'm talking about. ;D I think a few gunshots for him would be sufficient -- mostly in the gut, maybe one on the face or head somewhere.

CLOTHES: Short sleeved t-shirt. Loses his jacket during the walk, so he doesn't need one costume-wise. XD ]

I'll take Harkness like I said before. ;) And I'd be up for a parade but then we'd miss seeing the other costumes. And the creepy Joker laughing in Ashley's ear. O_o

Got the descriptions from the old thread -- will get Harkness this weekend. And yeah, I like watching the parade but -- I guess it depends on how many Walkers we had. If we had more than like 5 or 6 it would be awesome to be in the parade since it's like A LONG WALK LOL. Plus, picture possibilities with the crowds in the background = win. XD

I think we should. I mean hello. The Walk, the Crowd, the Dead Boys? heck yes.

To get pictures of boys with crowds on the road would be OMG YES.

In other random things, what should I do for the new numbers?

Having read the exciting new descriptions, do we want to do more bullet holes/wounds etc for Olsen than we did last year? (we had one in the head and one on my side) I don't care, but I'm not the one doing make-up so it's all up to how much time we have, I guess.

YAY SO EXCITED!!1

I'll have the supplies for some more substantial wounds. Since you have all that blood on your shirt, Lusa, you're going to need to be pretty fucked up. Which we can accomplish.

LIKE A MONTH YOU GUYS OH GOD
