[ Arthur & Jase ]

Today was payday at Happy Noodle. Jase had collected his share of bills and shoved them in the pocket of his wrinkled pants, leaving right on his clock-out time and traveling to Arcadia. Something about the greenery and the way the flowers grew everywhere calmed his nerves.

He was seated near a circle of stones that surrounded a pool which housed the end of one of the small waterfalls the grotto was named for. The rushing water provided some sort of solace for him as he counted out the bills he had received earlier that day. With what he just made plus his brother's pay from the fisheries and his sister's from Eve's Garden, he came to the conclusion that they just might be able to afford rent this month. And a few groceries if they were lucky.

With a shaky sigh he shoved the bills into his back pocket and turned his head towards the waterfalls above him. They were beautiful... peaceful. At least something was right down here.

"Jase?"

It was way too weird seeing him out of Happy Noodle. It's like he just wanted to run up to where Soloman was seated by the waterfall and beg for a bowl of pasta. He refrained. It was hard. But he refrained.
