I had something simular to this in the old fourm so I thought I'd make a new one instead.

Basically just tell us what was the last videogame you have played and a quick comment/paragraph on your thoughts of said videogame, if you are playing multiple games just list them down along with your thoughts as well.
And yes, I currently have a stock lighting ball as an avatar - live with it, I'm lazy.

Skins WIP by VeteranPortal:
Retro Luigi - Luigi sprited as he was in SMB2/SMB3, NES style. Complete as of V0.41, JUST have to upload it now and share with the world.
Retro Link - Link sprited as he was in Zelda II, with powerups coming from as if Zelda II was like SMB3 . Completion - 70%, Normal, Boomerang, Bow and Cloud Link Complete. Classic and Deku Link Largely Complete, Bomb Link on Hold for now, Now it's down to Zero Link or Arbiter Link. Due to plain lack of energy and Dev plans to update Link this skin will be on Indefinate Hiatus. My sincere apologies to everyone anticipating this skin.
??? - TBA of commencement. Currently due to lack of time and motivation. Plus V0.5 is a ways off so I can't even get the sprite layout. Hint: It's from an old Compile Game back in the 80's yes, that's a vague hint.

The last game I played recently was a PC game called Science Girls that I bought a few days ago. It's basically a cute little RPG about schoolgirls fighting off an alien invasion that really doesn't take itself very seriously, if the plot description is any indicator. Fun and the ability of level up attacks themselves instead of an attack stat is an interesting twist.

Most recent game was Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. The game put me off a bit because it isn't an RPG at all. But then I started using enemies as weapons, and everything became all better.

Who's a stallion and a half? I'm a stallion and a half!

I've been playing Hyperballoid HD and ModNation Racers. Hyperballoid is a nice take on the old breakout game. As for ModNation, well, I'm not sure about the community. I seem to get lost on the shuffle, no matter how hard I work on creations.

I've been playing a lot of APB (All Points Bulletin). Surprisingly addictive even if it does have a lot of problems with it. From what I've heard, practically every MMO game goes through the same problems, and the APB devs really has handled themselves well so far. I at least wish they could fix the game so that it doesn't crash to desktop on me after 1-2 hours of playing... just because I have a 32-bit Operating System.

Well, the last game I've played is Global Agenda, and I find it pretty fun for an MMO, there's some balance issues with it, but it'll be addressed soon since Hi Rez is awesome like that. I've been playing the Robotics class and it's always funny to piss the enemy team off with a Rocket Turret that 3-5 people come after you to destroy it, and I've been playing it with a bunch of awesome people so it's been an awesome experience so far.

Hyperballoid is a nice take on the old breakout game.
I have a cellphone game along those same lines called Block Breaker. It's a fine game, but has a few irritating quirks. "Casino blocks" that, when hit, are only taken out if the RNG says so. Also, the Shield sometimes causes the ball to glitch through the paddle and into the abyss.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge on PS3. Possibly one of the most frustrating, most baffling point-and-click adventure games I've ever played. I think it's because it's an old-school game, which only shows how modern sensibilities make us all pampered namby-pambies. I'm struggling with it even though the special edition comes with hints, but these hints are so generic that it's still a matter of guesswork ("Oh of course, I'm supposed to pick up the bloody dog despite the fact that it's about the same size as the player character, it makes so much sense now!").

Still, I'm enjoying it with moderated use of internet hints. I still prefer the original and the recent Tales of Monkey Island series though.

Oh, and MGS: Peace Walker on PSP, which is one of the best MGS games yet! Shame I can't connect online to pair up with strangers without the PS3 being connected to the internet via a wired connection (it's a long story).

Two Atlus games: Hexyz Force (Turn-based RPG, PSP) and Devil Survivor (Tactical RPG, DS).

Hexyz Force has two different playable storylines. I played through the holy woman's storyline and thoroughly enjoyed the whole game (and beat it), but the blond swordsman's storyline seems to be a cheap side-story in comparison to her. Hexyz Force has minor voice acting, simple (but easy on the eyes) graphics, a crafting system, and abilities tied to weapons.

Devil Surivor has become one of my favorite RPGs ever, as difficult as it seems to be at times. It's full of important decision points, and the characters are incredibly deep. Its battle system is alright, but the story and characters make me instill a very, very deep respect for the title.

PC:
The first Unreal Tournament: I still enjoy playing this even though it's about 11 years old now. There's so much great user-created content and expansions freely available for it out there, and the gameplay feels just right, something the sequels were lacking.

Trackmania United Forever: Virtually limitless amount of tracks to play and a great community overall. They recently introduced "enviromixing", a sort of hack that allows you to swap the vehicles round into each other's environments with their individual handling physics intact which opened up new track designing possibilities.

PS3:
ModNation Racers: I've always liked the idea of designing your own content as well as downloading and sharing other players' creations, and some of the designs I've seen are truly amazing.

I had the pleasure of finally playing Phantasy Star Zero today, as well as being gifted a rare Mag, as this belongs to z89. The animated scenes are cool, and the whole thing feels like a polished version of PSO. I would have liked to see this alternate universe pan out to an online experience. (And into a PC game.)

Might be because I'm using a class meant for melee, but the AI is actually more active than in the past. (They need to touch the enemy to attack, right?) I also like the use of shield as weapons. I'm probably jaded of hearing the same story, though...

Haven't gotten much chance to play games that much lately.

First, caught up a bit with Kirby's Dreamland 3 on Virtual Console. Pretty fun, my favorite Kirby game next to Adventure on NES. Love the art style and it's pretty challenging at times.

Second, been playing through the most recent edition of Eversion, which adds a new enemy type and I believe revamps the final level completely. Still can't get past stage 6-7 (I think that's the second auto-scroll stage if I recall).

Though not as recent as those, I did play through Heavy Rain a third time, going for a different ending. Despite the game's plot holes and other issues, I still enjoy it a lot.

I've been playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, and I believe it has the most epic ending of a Pokemon game, ever.

...That is, if you consider the fight with

to be the end of the game. I understand that there's always a lengthy postgame in every Pokemon game (Mystery Dungeon series even more so) so I'm not sure whether I could be considered "past the ending" yet.

Gamestop had a sale yesterday so I picked up Zelda Phantom Hourglass, and GTA China town wars.
And Soul Calibur legends for the Wii.

The part in PA where you have to chese down the mouse and take away it's key is making me mad.
Then. On GTACW. I found a dildo while dumpster diving. EEEW!

I've been playing BlazBlue: Continuum Shift for PS3, it's a pretty cool game. I had an interesting first experience online, EVERBODY SIDDOWN, ITS STORY TIME.

So I opened up a room on a player match (non-ranked) server. Went to practice while I waited for a guy to enter, surely enough, somebody entered. So we chose our characters. I chose Tsubaki, he chose Makoto. Now, Tsubaki's whole coolio thing is that she can combo two attacks of the same degree (Normally character can only A > B > C, Tsubaki can go A > B > B > C > C. Which makes her very useful for stringing out good combos.) So the match starts, he immediately goes to a low rapid fist of the north star- ish punching to an uppercut to a follow up hit. AND REPEATS THAT ABOUT 10 TIMES UNTIL IM DEAD. Then he repeats a grapple to an uppercut to a follow up AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL IM DEAD. Next round, I get some good BB > CC > special combos in, im doin pretty goodm I win a round. HE SPAMS THE SAME GOD DAMN COMBOES OVER AND OVER AND OVER THAT WHOLE ROUND. Third match...you get the idea. So I decide to go leave and play some story mode or what not. I send him a message saying "Good Game". Just to be polite. He sends me back a message saying "you suck with tsubaki, you only used bb and cc combos, you really sucked" (Actual message). Im just sitting on my couch like ":I ...what the hell?". My dad was sitting next to me and he just "Screw him, your gonna run into people like that just tell them to go *AHEM* themselves and move on."

So yeah, that was my latest experience.

Regardless, BlazBlue : CS is a FUCKING AWESOME GAME.

Protoman is purposefully unbalanced. Did you see why he was the "final update"? If you don't get him from the internet, you get him by completing every one of those ridiculously-hard challenges...and if you can beat those, you can beat anything.
