Back on the old forum I had alot of ideas scattered throughout a couple of threads so since the forums gone (thanks ipbfree) I guess I'll put everything I had saved here. Transition Level Ideas World 2 (Terra Alternata) to World 3 (Ocean of Oblivion) "The Bermuda Triangle" The level would start you off in a tropical ocean where the Rebel Soldiers have been specifically asigned to gaurd the area extremley well. As you progress through the open waters you will face off against many members of the Rebel Army on their boats as well as other sea life such as sharks. You finally get to an area that seems unprotected and quiet. As you progress through the area it begins to get foggy and very eriee. You start to see many sunken ships, crashed submerged planes, ect. You travle right into an increasingly bright light untill the screen is white. You have just been transported to the Ocean of Oblivion through a rip in time and space known as the Bermuda Triangle. You progress forward in this creepy ocean while avoiding sea monsters and other creatures untill you reach an island. The flagpole is just ahead. **Note: Sprites can be used from Sea of Muck and Metal Slug http://www.spriters-resource.com/arcade/ms/sheet/26704 http://www.spriters-resource.com/arcade/ms5/diversoldier.png http://www.spriters-resource.com/arcade/ms5/sandmarine.png http://www.spriters-resource.com/arcade/ms5/slugmariner.png World 3 (Ocean of Oblivion) to World 4 (Di Yu) "Untitled" WIP World 4 (Di Yu) to World 5 (Midgard) "The Ascent" You start off in a very Hellish area with much lava and fire everywhere. You begin your trek upwards a mountain with many obstacles such as demons threatening to make you fall back to the bottom again. Once at the top you find yourself in an area that seems to be more cooled off, but because there is no more fire or lava it is dark. Find your way through the demon infested cave in the dark. Once your out of the dark you can see and you can tell you are close to the mouth of the cave. You start to see more and more cave dwelling zelda enemies. Once you reach the mouth of the cave you realise you have made your way to the fields of Hyrule. Travle through the field for a little bit to reach the flag pole. World 5 (Midgard) to World 6 (Outer Nebula) "Asteroid Mountain" Option 1 The level starts you off in a grassy field where you face off against many fantasy themed enemies. You go right until you reach the foot of a mountain that you must climb. Proceed up the mountain until it becomes so high that it the temperature has dropped drastically. Face off against many ‘snow themed fantasy creatures’ here until you reach an area where clouds are start to appear. Jump up the clouds and the mountain to get higher and higher up until the sky begins to turn black and the mountain begins to break up into floating pieces. Jump from piece to piece to make your way to an asteroid belt where you avoid many Sci-Fi themed enemies until the flagpole is reached. World 5 (Midgard) to World 6 (Outer Nebula) “Trans-dimensional Trip” Option 2 You start off at Destiny Islands while it is under attack by Darkside and many heartless. You have to make your way through the island avoiding heartless and other enemies. You progress forward as quick as you can in order to escape the world before it is consumed by darkness completley and destroyed. You end up finding your way out, a Gummi Ship. You then enter a SHMUP section. You begin flying past other Kingdom Hearts worlds in the background and some heartless Gummi Ships you must shoot. As you progress though you begin seeing other types of ships and creatures from other SHMUP games. You fight off these enemies untill you begin to see the Halo Rings in the background. You keep going right and you have finished the level. Custom Background: http://i28.tinypic.com/67tf8k.png http://i31.tinypic.com/zjdmq9.png World 6 (Outer Nebula) to World 7 (???) “Untitled” Not much is known about world 7 yet so I just had the idea that mabey world 7 would be reached through a wormhole or blackhole from an unstable region in space. Levels in Progress Splatter Zone Splatter Zone is a level that combines elements from Super Mario Land 2's Pumpkin Zone and the Splatter House series. This level is not being built by me I just simply helped put the idea together. It will be a mansion composed of rooms from Pumpkin Zone areas and the West Manor. Keep in mind that the level was made as an experiment with level design and therefore I did not focus on fixing bugs or perfecting the level. I made two of those worlds' names. Anyway, how about asking Judge Spear to move this thread to the sub-forum for Super Mario Fusion if you plan to work mainly on submissions for that? |

I love ruins of rapture, being a huge bioshock freak and Splatter zone sounds pretty awesome too. Nice work, I guess I had you pegged wrong. |

Well thanks! I worked really hard on it. And I can't wait to see what Judge does with Splatter Zone. And Brian I added your name to give you credit for the world logos. And yeah I guess if Judge sees this post then you can move my topic to the SMFR forum because that is mainly what I'm contributing to. |

I've finished Ruins of Rapture, with the exception of Bioshock enemies and music. I decided to scrap the window room and have replaced it with making the other rooms much bigger. I will not release the level until I retile the last room though, I'm having alot of trouble finding realistic underwater sprites. If anyone can show me a spritesheet like the one Judge used for sea of transition that would help alot. Thanks. |

You'd have to run that by Judge Spear. To my understanding, he isn't planning on having a whole bunch of different skins in Super Mario Fusion.

Yeah that's what he told me that's why I don't think the idea is going to work. Besides if we skinned powerups as plasmids the only one that would make sense is the fire flower and only Mario uses that.. |
