Traditionally I've found most such RPGs I would be playing at the same time a friend was playing a code of their own. Thus I often tend to just create a character that clashes wildly with theirs, as I often get to see a lot of the events their path produced viewing their play. |

I usually opt for evil or otherwise "Do what profits me the most" for most non-structured, "sandbox" RPGs like Morrowind... or if there's a sexy evil woman trying to recruit me. For most games with a lot of inter-party dialogue and are heavily story-driven, I tend to opt for the "good" path so I can avoid being an ass when I have to live with it for the whole game. |

Oh ffffffff I meant to put depending on theme, because in Shin Megami Tensei Good, and Evil paths are BOTH bad endings, the only real good ending is the neutral. But in most games that don't screw you over in the good and evil paths, I normally pick the good paths.

Man, I ALWAYS choose the good path because: 1) Most of the time I get awesome sh*t from it. 2) . . . I am naturally a good person. SHADDUP. 3) I usually wind up ACCIDENTALLY choosing good, even when I actually don't want to. Edited by Cabooseblu12, Jul 30 2010, 09:53 PM.

I always do good, with an occasional neutral thrown in. Even though it isn't real, I can't bring myself to go evil. The only games that I tend to get evil points from are the ones that give it to you for stealing, although I will only steal in-game, not if it's a dialogue/cutscene choice. |
I'll just have to...

Generally on a first playthough would be my honest opinion, which is mainly 95% good - after all if im considered a hero, might as well live up to it. Subsequent playthroughs tend to me more extreme ranging from extreme good and evil, though if I generally do an evil playthough it kinda feels uncomfortable. I know it sounds like I'm a wuss. And yes, I currently have a stock lighting ball as an avatar - live with it, I'm lazy. Skins WIP by VeteranPortal: Retro Luigi - Luigi sprited as he was in SMB2/SMB3, NES style. Complete as of V0.41, JUST have to upload it now and share with the world. Retro Link - Link sprited as he was in Zelda II, with powerups coming from as if Zelda II was like SMB3 . Completion - 70%, Normal, Boomerang, Bow and Cloud Link Complete. Classic and Deku Link Largely Complete, Bomb Link on Hold for now, Now it's down to Zero Link or Arbiter Link. Due to plain lack of energy and Dev plans to update Link this skin will be on Indefinate Hiatus. My sincere apologies to everyone anticipating this skin. ??? - TBA of commencement. Currently due to lack of time and motivation. Plus V0.5 is a ways off so I can't even get the sprite layout. Hint: It's from an old Compile Game back in the 80's yes, that's a vague hint. No one feels that taking a specific path breaks the "immersion" of a video game? Of course, after one goes through one path, one should try the others, but I personally believe that one should just do what they'd actually do if in said situations, unless such things would prevent the game from progressing, doesn't that make sense? |

Fable 2 is painful to be evil in. "Forge the sword, not the anvil!" ...I'm 8 feet tall and five feet wide, with my own magical aura, with cracked-lava skin and devil horns. I've been doing this for 3 days straight without rest. I have a red-hot shortsword in one hand, and a hammer in the other. Don't. Fucking. Push me. I tend to go with whatever is the polar opposite of the theme. If it's so idealistic it hurts? Cynical evil monster. GRIMDARK game of GRIMDARK? A passionate idealist who puts the (invisible) children of the game to shame. |

Yeah, the Fable 2 villagers drove me to a massacre too. I was playing a good alignment code, got married, had kids. But every time I came to visit my family, strange women I never even flirted with would just come walking into my house, demanding a wedding ring 4 feet away from my wife. So one day I just snapped, told a bunch of those trespassing stalkers to follow me, and took them all to the graveyard. Filed a restraining order with a blunderbuss. Things got even weirder after that. My wife went bi-polar. "I love you so much!..... MURDERER!". "I'm so happy to be with you!..... HOW COULD YOU MURDER THOSE PEOPLE?!". Honestly I found Fable2 to be one of the least painful games to be evil in. The NPC's personality quirks/glitches just drive me insane after a while. Edited by Obreck, Jul 31 2010, 07:25 PM.

Ah Fable 2, ok game in which I've played a few times. First playthrough - Good guy, yet who is a complete slob. Second Playthrough - Good guy that's also morally pure. Last Playthrough - Evil Guy, yet morally pure. |

Ah,Alignment based RPGs...my favourite! (btt...) I usually start of as one of the good guys. This is basically just to explore the regions and cities without having much trouble except for monsters or similiar things. Then, usually on the second run through the game,i chose the evil side. |

I just do whatever the hell I feel like doing. That usually nets me a Neutral / Semi-Evil character. Like in Fallout 3, I got the sheriff dude to pay me for disarming the bomb, I then immediately proceeded to kill him (with style :D) just for his hat. I KILL PEOPLE FOR COOL HATS, FEAR ME. And in Fable 2...dohohohoho, Fable 2. My reaction was similar to Obreck's. I got REALLLYY tired of the stupid annoying people, so I proceeded to kill them too [with style (and magic)]. But I also take the good guy path just to see what opportunities open up. But I prefer a neutral-ish sort of evil-ish alignment. |

In my RPG gaming style it also depends most on my mood. In Shin Megami tensei series at first SNES translated game I ended on Law (good ending), on second Chaos (evil), in If i had neutral and on PS 2 SMT Nocturne I had True demon ending. |

Good. Always good. I can never bear with myself to take an "evil" path, even in a video game. Yeah, I'm a major weenie, but it's just that I couldn't deal with it. Maybe it's seeing or doing things I wouldn't like, or feeling as if the game would punish me for choosing that path, but that's just the way I feel. It's also why I normally have reservations playing GTA, since you'd be playing on the criminal side (yeah, a lot of people enjoy it, but I would prefer being a cop). |
