So yeah Dead Rising 2! Sequel to one of the most sleeper hits to the Xbox and a game I enjoyed profusely. Just finished Ending S, was rather pleased, gonna start another run soon. Anyone else done anything cool? |

I've been generally avoiding Psychopaths and not doing most missions, other than the main cases for this first run. That chef is a goddamn asshole though. Although Tenderizers are pretty rad as hell (MMA Gloves + Box of Nails). |

The glove weapons bite. Except maybe against that one boss. You know who I'm talking about. Mr. Disarming freak. >.> ...Other than that, my weapon of choice was a lightsaber. Or three. ...The bosses felt...cheaper, yes, simply because all of them had some method of being stunlock proof (Except slappy, who just sucks,) but their reliance on knockdown got annoying after a while. |

Have they fixed the GOD AWEFUL controls from the first game? God... that spoiled the game beyond playability for me... Frank West handled like a Shopping trolly with only two wheels...

Maybe you didn't play the game long enough? At first, with the first few experience levels, your character controls fine, but is rather limited in options. The game opens up soon enough as you gain loads of PP and increase in level. Also Slappy was actually pretty easy to fight after you get into a pattern: do a diving smash at Slappy's face with a Defiler or something like that, knocking him down. Hit him a few times, then get away before he starts spinning around. Repeat as necessary. |

My Slappy plan involved the ninja costume's jumping slash, but yeah, same plan. I meant Slappy sucked as in he failed, not that he was cheap or something. >.> ...Also, 4+ Survivors armed with assault rifles/LMG's/Shotguns = Psycho meat grinder. Seriously, Antione never even got to finish his first little eating frenzy before my little ambush turned him into swiss cheese. ...Also, upon replaying it, I may have been a little harsh on the glove weapons. Still subpar in my opinion, but I think their lack of stopping power was less the weapon sucking and more Chuck not being able to fight his way out of a paper bag at level 10. xP Also, STUPID SUPERZOMBIES ARGH WHY DO THEY HAVE STUNNING POWERS ARGH. ...Thankfully, they don't like you spinning around like a psychotic blender with the Defiler...Or roadkilling them with a Slicecycle. I guess if it wasn't for them, the BFG's would have been kinda useless otherwise, though. Super BFG's are still amazing, though. |
