Happy Thanksgiving everyone! There have not been any updates here for a couple weeks, so here's some screenshots of a couple levels currently being worked on: 2-F1: Rebel Stronghold ![]() Rebel Stronghold begins on the path leading to the fortress itself. The Metal Slug tank is available and necessary to help get past all the soldiers and other defenses guarding the path. The tank, sadly, has to be given up fairly soon after entering the stronghold proper. Some weapons are available, but for the most part the stronghold's obstacles must be avoided rather than blown up. The level is slightly above average in length and lower than most in difficulty. It is the first fortress in World 2. ![]() 3-3: Slush Marshes ![]() Slush Marshes starts out similar to the desert levels in SMB2, albeit with more alien enemies. New challenges are encountered fairly soon, however, which require a different approach to overcome. Mario must use an unconventional approach to overcomes this strange landscape and achieve victory. It is a fairly short level overall and normal difficulty.

I have to say that I'm really looking forward to trying out Rebel Stronghold. Can't wait to try it out and merge it into the main source. |

Those bubbles look fun, so do the energy cannons. Looks like they could use a small sprite edit though, they got grey pixels all around (the bubbles I mean), maybe erasing the color in GM8. |

The bubbles remind me of NSMBWii's 7-2. |
