Bloodgrey, what the hell are you talking about? The only ones who have "agreed" on making a medley level are you and Del. Two other people did suggest a medley level, but that's all they did, make suggestions. They didn't "agree" to anything. On top of that, the only person pushing the DOS medley level at this point is you. "Half the suggestions" are not meant for said DOS level. Del seems to have been the only other person who's mentioned it, and he's already stated that the Dev Team is likely to make such a level anyway. Why keep pushing the community to work on a level that's likely going to be made regardless? I'm not saying you aren't allowed to make a medley level, but don't go around lecturing others on what or what not they are allowed to suggest. You can just as easily collaborate on a non-medley level as you could on a medley level. Back on topic, I should mention that the Dev Team is still working out the details on how this project is going to work, so nothing's quite set in stone just yet. Right now we're leaning towards making this project into a sub-forum of sorts, rather than a single topic; although I'm not entirely sure on what the details of that are going to be just yet. In any case we'll keep you guys posted once we manage to get everything figured out. |

Ummmm... I think we have a missunderstanding It wasn't lecturing. Or at least I didn't mean to. I said half of the list meant to be suggestions for the dos medley level cause it was me, who mentioned them for the dos medley level as off topic for you guys, if you are doing it. Not as a suggestion for stages that should be done as community level, nor as a level that I want to do on my own with ignorance from me on you doing it. It's like I mention a game in this topic for whatever other reason than suggesting, and then it gets into that list as "someone suggested it as a level" and we getting a bloated list of suggestions which actually wasn't suggested. I tought this is misunderstanding what had to be cleared cause I didn't suggested them as community levels. Yes, I admit, besides that I'm fired up about that particular dos stage but you don't have to link it with those particular comments. Cause it has no connections. Besides I tought this is a community discussion not just between me and Del. The others were interested too. It looked like for me that we are starting to form a group with some of the members. We asked around, and discussed out a direction that we may could follow, to have things organised. Then that list came, and for me that was like completely ignoring all the things that some of us discussed and tought about to keep in mind. Sure these are not guidelines but we was going to somewhere with it. That list for me felt as complete restart that I think we didn't needed, since there is already the possibility to shape out something. That list could have easly whiped these directions of, cause they are not set in stone. That's why I was saying all this, but I could easily see it all wrong. What do you mean games by treasure? As in the company that made/developed/whatever Sin&Punishment, Mischief Makers, etc.? Hmmm, I think of Dead Space, or the Black Omen form Chrono Trigger when you mention that "haunted station" level What do you have in mind for the DOS level, BTW? |

Half-Life, System Shock, Bioshock, Prey, Duke Nukem, Quake 2, Unreal, MDK. Also I like the idea of a Hunted House of horror games. I'd deffiniatelly do some push for the inclusion of The Suffering, maybe with some sprites. |

Bloodgrey: The reason I added every level suggestion so far to the list, regardless of popularity, is so that each level is brought to mind, including those that are much less known/haven't been talked about as much. It wouldn't be fair if a thoughtful suggestion was made, and it was totally ignored by the general public, now would it? That's the reason I made the list. It wasn't to force the project to "move backwards". It also wasn't to be useless and say "lulz heres a list have fun kthxbai ! ! ! 1 1 one". We're still in the planning phase, right? EVERY suggestion needs to be brought to view, rather than just those that have been suggested again and again and again. |

What about those? Oh tose have haunted space stations too? I haven't played Bioshock, but wasn't that at sea? Anyway, as the mods focus on finding a way to fit in what they have already planned, we ought to think of a way too. By the way, so far I don't believe a level for Treasure games (assuming you mean the company) would be adequate coherence-wise. EDIT: Oh I didn't see it could be a random station... that opens up many possibilities, I guess. Here's a try to group SOME of the levels: SCI-FI STATION WITH A HAUNTED AREA: Portal Level. Alien Carnage Level. Another World Level. (great choice, always wanted to play that) Biomenace Level. (correct me if I'm wrong) Earthworm Jim Level. (could be LEVEL 5, ISO 9001 or Down the Tubes, many people want an EJ standalone level however) NOVA Level. ALLTRADES ABBEY (RPGs vocations/jobs/classes tower level) Venus Lighthouse Level. Hexen Level. Romancing SaGa Level. Dragon Quest Level. "LEAD THE WAY" LEVEL Lost Vikings Gobliiins Level. Possibly Oddworld Possibly Lemmings Worms Level. You can have much more organized discussions at the new MKF Community Project boards here: http://s4.zetaboards.com/mkfusion/forum/3483211/ This board has two phases: *In the brainstorming phase, you may suggest individual ideas and get people to discuss them, and then after some period of time they have to pick one and then move on or something.The discussions must be more specific, not just "a this level", also more resource-friendly and organized. *In the production phase, you have shown significant progress in your level idea, and your idea is moved here at the behest of the MKF developers. Significant progress means we REQUIRE in-game screenshots of your level. Many of you are completely missing the point of the MKF Community Level Project. It is not a level suggestion topic. You are expected to put forth work in the level ideas you propose, not hope that a MKF dev will make the idea for you. These boards will organize everything cleanly.
