At Viola's comment about his name Nothing would close his eyes, tilt his head to the side, and smile. A smile that looked friendly but obviously which hid a hidden promise that she would soon regret her comments about his name. He was tempted to perform a telepathic assault on her but resisted the impulse. He would get his chance later. Following the old man down into the laboratory Nothing would glance at the various concoctions around the laboratory before settling himself down in a chair opposite the alchemist. "A few questions are in order I suppose...firstly, do you have a location where the starstone landed?" Nothing began, taking the teapot and filling up one of the cups about halfway. "Secondly, do you know how large or heavy said stone is?" He began pouring the cream into the tea until it was completely full. "Thirdly, what specifically are you offering as payment for the safe delivery of the stone?" He took up the teacup and saucer resting them in his hands in a manner akin to the nobility "And lastly, for what reason do you desire the starstone?" |

Wether Dante stayed in the front or came with them to the back, the Alchemist would wait until those who had followed him back had chosen their place of spatial residence. Then came the boy's questions. Kwaro nodded as he listened, his fingers clasped over his tea cup, occasionally taking his silent sips. "Of course. The location, wether you'd asked this or not I still would have given you this information. You're no use to me if you don't know where it is now are you?" He chuckled heartily and lowered the cup to his lap. "According to its projectory and speed, it should have landed around a hundredish miles, due east. If memory serves it IS over the plains but it does get a little rocky the further you go out. You might find a natural cave or two along the way. I will provide a horse and wagon. You're free to keep whatever was left in the wagon from the last person who used it, if anything was left behind. However, I will need at least the horse returned to me at the end of this. If you happen to lose him on me, don't worry, he knows his way home. " The alchemist's eyes twitched looking up in thought at the second question. "For size, I honestly don't know how large the item in question is. Based on distance, it may fit completely in the wagon but it could be anywhere from 3 feet to 6 feet across. Mostly likely like a squashed sphere. It appeared to have less height than its width. In the event that you can't bring it all back, the largest portion you can manage would do wonderfully." The older man reached behind him to the counter, lifting up the seemingly heavy medium sized bag. "As for payment, I promise a substantial amount of gold to each participant in the party." He undid the string reaching in to pull out a couple peices, but instead of being gold in colour, they were more of a tin or silver grey. "Each bag also has a couple dozen Platinum peices. If you're aware of the currency system, it's worth quite a bit more than Gold. These will be received after the rock is brought back to me." The bag was restrung and hefted it back onto the counter, large amount of clinking going on in the process. "And for why I want the Space rock is for personal reasons. Normally I wouldn't have bothered with it at all, however this one seems quite peculiar. It started out normal, however its flame changed as if it burnt off the normally outter iron deposits and gave off hues than you typically see. I'm inclined to believe it has a mix of elements I haven't had the chance to tamper with, or maybe just ones I don't come across often, so I want it to pick it apart and to see what's in it. The larger the sample the better." With the teacup in his hands again, the cup would lift from its saucer, tipping to his mouth once more. "I would go myself, but I'm not exactly fit for travelling anymore." Edited by Animela, May 2 2014, 10:06 PM.

Dante made his way into the back. He gave the other guests some room to move before him. He doubted they would enjoy rubbing shoulders with him anymore than they had enjoyed seeming him arrive. When he reached the back room he glanced at the various bottles and more that had been placed everywhere. Dante slid into a chair as easily as a cat. He took a small moment to draw forth his book and place it before him. He gently steepled his hands over the book before he turned his attention to the older man as he spoke. The inquisitor didn't partake of any tea or anything such as that. He listened as the man explained about the ins and outs of the request. The rock sounded larger than he had expected. If it was made of odd or interesting metals that would make it very useful. But the old man seemed aware of the value. Also he didn't seem interested in the whole of the stone if they were to deem it impossible to reclaim. He was rather curious himself. He might be able to figure out a few things himself by finding the stone, but he would need gain nothing by sitting here and guessing a loud. The old man before him had done that, and thus they were here now. He would go, and find this rock, and then he would make his next thought about such a thing. He had many more things to consider. Such as the companions he was expected to keep. A child, and a monstergirl. They were hardly the companions an inquisitor wanted to be seen with but he wouldn't turn down their help. Dante placed his efforts in listening to what was being said and making sure he could recall it later. He had spoken not a single word so far, and had no great hurry within him to start talking. The location of the stone was all the information that he had truly needed, but he would agree to having the others ask any questions that could possibly come to mind. It was said once that it was better to seem a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Dante had yet to think of these people as fools, but so long as he remained as he was then he represented not himself, but the heart of the church, and well he had no doubt that the Lizard Girl could likely slay him, or even the child if he were to let down his guard. He had made sure to notice how they were garbed and any weapons they might display. Personally Dante felt it folly to show the reward so easily. Even in his own home. A thief would find little trouble in disposing of the elderly gentleman for such vast wealth. But it wasn't his place to argue. The money was an option if the stone proved to be of little use to himself. But if it proved to be something of great value then the old man would never know. |

Nnothing considered taking the gold now and running....but thought better of it. The holstrus was obviously stronger than she looked and th lizard girl could certainly stop him if she so tried. Even if he made it out he wouldn't be welcome back in Everton again. It made more sense to him to go about this reasonably and complete the task they had been given. Setting his tea down Nothing would stand up. "Very well. There seems no need to dawdle here with more idle prattle prattle. Given the hundred mile distance it will take us at least a ten-day round trip. I do not suppose you would be willing to equip and fund our expedition prior to setting off" raising the tea to his lips as he asked.

Finishing the hot drink in his hand, Kwaro nodded placing the teacup on the platter in front of them. "As I've mentioned, I'm providing a horse and cart and you're free to keep whatever was left by the last user. As for extra equipment or food, what you carry now should be well enough, Caroline and Mayus," Oh so the man had two. "Should be loading provisions into the back of the wagon on top of the tarp while we sit. If you wish to go help them do so go on ahead, otherwise enjoy your time here while it lasts. The provisions should last the journey there and back but feel free to keep any extra that does not get eaten. It's mostly just travellers food with the exception of a few items that shouldn't go bad by the time you get back anyways." The man flicked his wrist over the tips of his fingers, a few knuckles cracking from the movement, over at the boy after taking a glance at the churchgoer, half seeming to pick up on the rouge thought purely through body language but made no notion of it. "However I will not be giving you the money until after the rock is delivered unto me. Until then it will stay where it is kept." The thin black gloves he wore were shortly slid off to be deposited in his pocket. The action done, he turned to pour himself another cup of tea. He was an older man yes, but he wasn't the fool as the two men seemed to be taking him to be. The bags may be promptly set on the counter but in the notion of stealing, they would be in for more than just an angry Holstrus surprise if they tried to make the attempt. |

Staying quiet as Nothing asked a few questions and the man replied, once the old alchemist mentioned the other two people loading provisions and that they could go help them if they wanted Viola nodded at the man, and left to do just that. It wasn't like she had anything to discuss with the old man, and helping out with loading the provisions would keep her occupied until they were ready to leave. Once she'd reach the cart she'd explain her intention to the holstaurus and the other person. That done she would start loading whatever needed to be loaded into the cart, unless of course the two people rejected her help which would simply leave a very bummed out Viola. |

Sighing, Nothing would set his cup down. "Very well. If there is nothing else I do believe that we should be off then" Taking his traveling staff up once again Nothing would make his way to the cart, setting his own supplies in the back. He in turn would take the drivers seat. The horse already hitched he saw no need to meddle with it further. It was a fairly standard cart in all respects. Larger than what most people owned. It had four wheels instead of two, a sign that the cart was used to being taken long distances. The drivers seat was flat and worn from extended use, and like every such seat it was far too large for a single person, but far too small for two. "Art thou ready to proceed milady?" bowing from his seat in mock curtesy to the lizard woman who had just finished loading the last of their meager cargo. |

As the lizardwoman trotted out to the cart and supplies she would be greeted obviously by the Alchemist's Cow wife they had met earlier. Caroline would wave her hand, hoisting yet another box onto her shoulder. Another Holstarus would be working with her, probably the one he had called Mayus. The other woman was much younger, definitely not as curvy as the older counterpart, even her breasts would be much smaller, an example of what a Holstarus should probably look like before they started lactating. Though younger, her hair would mostly be white aside from black spot right above the forehead of her head's crown, different from her mother's streak pattern. Despite this, she did sport a silver band on her finger signifying that she too was married. Mayus would be their daughter, over helping her parents while her husband was on a long trip for work. She would be slowly walking to the cart with a box that probably looked too heavy for her although she carried it with ease, without even acknowledging the approach of the Lizard. Any attempt at directional talking to her would be proceeded with a silent stare of 'who me?' as she hurried along even faster. "Well thank you, that would be lovely dear." Caroline set down her own box on the side hanging down from the cart before pushing it over the tarp which already appeared to have a few things under it near the sides although they'd not been bothered to be removed. She turned motioning towards the wall of the house. "Just that pile there." This meant the stack Three more boxes besides the one Mayus was already carrying towards them. When Viola had laid the last box in the cart, Mayus would lean against the wall watching then while her mother pushed up the back end of the cart, latching it in place. "There you go. Stocked and ready to go." Her hands went to her hips surveying the completed work. |

Dante was taking his time, and being very calm. He had little reason to make a scene or make himself known. He would much rather play the part of a quiet reserved creature. The inquisitor did take a moment to stop, and open his book. Page after page was filled with a neat precise script. The writing was flowing. He pulled out a small charcoal stick out, and he started to write. Dante focused on his writing for just a few moments. He added a few more more lines of the neat words to his book his eyes flicked up at the various company that he was expected to keep for this quest before he finished his writing and closed the leather bound journal. He picked it up, and placed it again securely on his belt before he stood up and started to make his way out to this cart that was to carry their supplies on this rock hunt. Dante reached into his jacket to draw out a smaller little book with a leather binding. The cover was decorated with a compass rose, and Dante started to flip through the pages. Each one had a hand drawn map of an area. He doubted that he'd been in this area before, but it might be that he'd been near it recently. Dante continued to flip between the pages before he started to sketch again this time he started to draw a map of Everton Village. He didn't doubt that maps of the village existed, but he had more faith in things created by his own hands. Dante didn't travel too far from the wagon. He had no interest in having to chase after this child, and creature if they left without him. But the effort of drawing this map was a nice way to focus himself and get rid of his annoyance, and frustrations. |

Nothing would crack the reins, seeking to get the cart rolling. Once he got that started, he would try to direct the horse out of the village. The combination of dirt and cobblestone paths making the trip out less than comfortable. At least they would only be facing dirt roads once they managed to get out of the village. Once hitting the open road, Nothing would proceed to pass the time by making remarks at the clergyman. "Get your nose out of the book boy. You'll miss the real world if you spend all your time in there." Checking the direction of the sun and the path of the road he tried to make sure that they were heading in the proper direction. It was going to be a looooooong three days.
