Still grumbling, the scholar gave a small glare at the still pouting Dahlia as Poppy skipped her way over, and the two figures approached. The hooded one gave him more than a little pause, as Poppy cheerfully spoke.

“Here you go Leggy. Lessee, we got a few books more from Miss Selena, and couple bundles of notes.” She said, starting to retrieve books and notes from the makeshift pack. “She wants the notes by month’s end, and the books by next season she said.” The peppy goblin eagerly held up each book to show him off. Great, he could already tell they were more of the ‘romance’ novels that Miss Selena adored.

“This is a big one! She said you are to split up the five part ‘Conjuration of Pleasure’ book into separate parts. A huge book is too big to just carry about and read she says. Oooh! Me and the rest are all borrowing this one till you need it! She said she wanted multiple copies of it” she said, eagerly showing off one book with a stylized image of a whip on it, the title being ‘Many Hues of Mocha’. The scholar shuddered a bit. Something about that title sounded almost a bit sleazy, and he saw the subscript below that said ‘A Dark Elf’s Guide of Pleasures’.

“As long as you don’t damage the books…but put those away for now. Seems we have some guests.” He said, turning to the people that were dashing up behind Poppy, and in front of wear he sat. “May I help you two?” he asked, polite as could be, feeling Dahlia bristling at the ready beside him

At least Ani slowed down a little so she could keep up. She would think with all her walking that she could run too but guess not. "Scholar's mark?" She had missed the mark she was talking about. The little goblin ahead of them had her attention. Clearly her friend had to be talking about the goblin. Maybe they would get the info Ani needed to go on her adventure. That made her smile as she really wanted to travel with Ani. Not only would it give her something more meaningful to do but she would be with a friend too!

She almost stumbled as they were stopped as she heard a pained sound. Her glaze looked at the male sitting and another goblin? She had hit the poor guy. "He does look really hurt. Oh! I know! I could help. I have been practicing trying to heal without... you know." She looked over to Ani as she tugged at her arm a little. She would like to help someone hurting to see if she could. It was better than being captured for her blood. Much better choice, she thought. "What do you think, Ani?"

Her glaze shifted over to the little goblin as she heard her. Oh, she sounded so cute! However, the names of the book made her cheeks turn a light shade of pink. Conjuration of Pleasure? It would seem that he was scribing or something. Guess he had more work now but the poor man was so hurt looking. She stayed close to Ani as she noticed how the goblin next to him was looking at him. They didn't mean any harm but it didn't mean that the goblin knew it. She just pressed herself close to Ani before speaking up. "Your a scholar? If so, my friend has some questions. Why are you so hurt? I can help!" She said before thinking at all.

Animela would look to the mermaid as she made her comments on her healing magic. "Healing magic from a mer-person without ingesting? Interesting." Her ears flicked in thought as she paused to observe and think at the same time. "Well practice makes perfect. If you think you can then offer your services. I'm sure the boost will help your abilities and if he gets anything out of it he'll be happy about it. I think it's a good idea." She smiled softly and continued on their way.

Once they got to the man and his goblin friends, Celeste would be speaking while Animela tilted her head at the goblin. The nose would twitch an ear perking before she looked to the man. "Ahah yes. I needed someone who might have information of something I'm looking for." The nose twitched again and her hand moved to flick the tip. "A couple tidbits here and there really but for the most part I need information on this place called Wonderland. It's a place known to host Mamano such as the Jaberwock and a few other suspecies. I've been hearing rumours of portals of course but I need to know a bit more. I would... Also not really like to talk about this in public. If you have any information I'm willing to wait until you're finished with your day. If you don't have anything I'm sure I can probably find someone else but today have proven a bit difficult in that aspect."

A hand drifted to her chin, the Anubis' ears twitching as she watched him. She always had been a bit of a book eater but even though something felt a bit.... Off... She felt the need to get more information. The mind was whirring as the cogs twisted grinding into one another. Even now she was taking in more with the simple observations of the things around her. Sight, smell, the taste of the air. Even the energies of the people bustling around her. She could even tell that someone was hiding in the nearby alley way, silently crying while gorging on a chocolate cake. Maybe they were eating the cake because they were crying? Maybe they were crying because they were eating the cake? No one would really care. There was cake. But no, her focus was on this man who could potentially hold a bounty of information. "Also yes, my friend would like to offering her healing services as to fix what seems to be an issue for you at this moment. Pain does not go well with one who needs to be focusing on other things and I'm sure that isn't quite something your fond of. Your wife may also need to stop hitting you."

The scholar looked, a brow perking up at their words. With a small, bitter laugh he set the sheets aside, weighting them down with a stone on the small table next to him, as he closed the book he was copying out. If nothing else, these too should give him a pretty coin that would help with his financial woes for the information they sought.

“Information I might be able to aide with, though I doubt that you will be of any help to my injury. Not many healers have luck piecing together a shattered to dust knee.” He said with exaggeration, wincing a bit as a hand went to reach for his jaw. It had nearly been dislocated when he was attacked, and it still occasionally gave some slightly painful clicks when he spoke.

“Wonderland? That’s…fanciful.” he said, more than a little surprised to hear the name of the extra-planar place, supposedly separate from the world which they lived in. ”I’ve not read much on the subject, but I did come across a few rumors in the past few months, from a source of mine. ” He said, thinking to some of the conversations he’d had with Miss Selene in the past month and a bit.

”Of course I will need payment of some form, or at least proof you can pay for such information. I’d have been more willing to part with this information a year past, but this injury has put me on hard times, and I need to find coin where I can to relieve my chirugeon’s debt.

Celeste stood idly by as she listened to Ani speak to the man about Wonderful? No no... Wonderland. Why was the place called wonderland? Was it full of wonder? Well she did say something about Mamano living there. Although would be very interesting to meet new mamano. Then again, most of mamano she knew about were not very friendly ones. That would make things a little more difficult to learn about them. It would still be an adventure for them though.

Her attention returned to the conversation with the man. Nodding in agreement with Ani, "That's right! She shouldn't hit you." She tilted her head at his doubt while he finished speaking. She was more than sure Ani could pay the man. Ani had those coins that could be used to buy things. Celeste still wanted to help the injured man. "I believe I can. I'm a mermaid and I can use healing magic. That combined should be able to help your knee." She finished with a nod of her head. Those blue locks flailing with her movements. "Convince him Ani!"

"Any sort of information that can be provided would do me well." The Anubis nodded before removing her hand from the Mermaid's having forgotten she'd grabbed it to drag her over in the first place. Taking the stringed bag from her hand, she looped it over her wrist before biting her lip, the other hand diving into the satchel again. Finding one with three knots in its string, she'd withdraw a similarly shaped bag to the first, only with the added knot. She gave a slightly guilty expression as she looped that over her wrist as well before opening the first one with two knots to reveal the silver. She had several of these bags... even a couple with only 1 knot and one that had 4. She just wasn't sure on displaying what she had considering vendors might pick up on it and start swarming her. They had a tendency of being annoying on insisting on doing so.

"I'm sure I can cover the cost of information." She stated, shifting the silver filled bag to make sure he saw it before letting that one hang again, redrawing itself and picked up the three knotted one. This one had Gold pieces instead of Silver. It was opened to show him this one too. She looked to the blue haired woman who was practically flailing in body body and word. Her lips parted to speak to her but the Raven on her shoulder interrupted with fluffed up feathers and a sigh.
"It is all but Nothing..."
"...Shh!"
"No, Never..."
"...Quiet" She was arguing... with a bird. She tensed slightly at the response not quite expecting it. Perhaps... No? The Raven would ruffle her feathers in a huff. "Damn that Fire!" She paused relaxing and draped a hand over the beak in a slight chuckle. "Alright Smartass." The chuckle would continue turning back to the Scholar. "As my friend did say, she is a Mermaid with the ability to use an outward based healing magic. While your breaks may be worse than I initially thought, it couldn't hurt to let her try. I'm also quite curious on the story on how your knee shattered. That isn't something an abusive wife can do unless she pushed you down the stairs... or want to do for that matter unless that isn't something she really wanted."

Animela paused for a moment to think before continuing. "Based on your words I'm going to assume she's not the one who did any of it and the punch I saw was something else." She shook her head trying to get back on topic. "As I said, the information I'm looking for is due to personal reasons. I'm willing to wait till the end of your day to be able to talk about it a bit more in private."

The scholar let out an internal sigh at the Blue haired Girl's words. However, he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. While she may not be trained as a chirugeon, she maybe could at least fix his remaining aches and lingering weakness in his body. The cloaked one on the other hand, seemed to have plenty to pay for some information.

Once more a sigh rang out in his mind. He hated what he was doing on a certain level. Information should be free to those who wanted it, and in a way, he felt like nothing more than a thug for taking money for the information people sought. However, there was little other way for him to make money right now, and scribing work would not pay all his debts he owed, at least not in a fast manner. It wasn't like all this information was easy to access either, some books only had one or two copies in the world, and maybe a few note scraps about them....

There was little point debating about it though. He needed that money. He would not let himself be a burden to the goblins. He turned to Poppy. "Could you go and find that large wooden box of my personal notes Poppy? Dhalia, our guests and I will be in after you shortly." he said, looking to Dhalia next, who smiled and took the cue, reaching downand grabbing around the scholars waist to help him upwards. He grunted a bit, sore from the seated position. With Dhalia's help, he hopped his way several steps, before the goblin simply shifted her arms, with a small noise of effort, shoving him off his feet to carry him in her deceivingly strong arms. The scholar gave her glare, before relenting. It had been like this ALOT the last several weeks. It was rather humiliating that they did this but....he really felt he didn't deserve how sweet and concerned for his well being the goblin's were to him.

"I don't have that much on the subject to be frank with you." he started off, as they entered the ramshackle hut, heading to the corner that had been taken over by his book, about five paces left of the 'toy' pile, and a jump north from the sleeping rags and covers area. "I do have some old notes from a few years back however when I was practicing scribe work." Poppy appeared from behind the book pile with a heft box, opening it up, as Dhalia carried him over so he could rifle through the notes, mumbling as he shifted through sheet after sheet of old parchment for the bundle with his notes.

Celeste didn't notice that Animela had let go of her hand. Her mind was busy listening to what she was saying to the man and the fact that she went in that sack of her again. It was the one with the coins in it that she showed her earlier. She was going to pay him for the information? She had not been on land in a long time but people did pay each other for information. That seemed a bit strange to her now. It didn't matter since it was Ani's choice to pay him. She only wished to help and get some practice in for herself.

The sound of that crow took her from her thoughts. She couldn't help but giggle as the Ani tried to get the bird to be quiet. If that continued to happen, being with Ani was going to be a lot of fun. She moved around Ani to try and pet the bird. "Shh~ Ani is trying to talk, ok?" She giggled again because she was talking to a bird. Her glaze drifted over to the guy with her hand still out to the bird. "Oh? She didn't beat him? That's good!" She focus went back onto the bird for a moment. "Isn't that great?" She asked it before looking at Ani. "What's the bird's name? Is it a boy or girl?"

Her glazed turned to the scholar and smiled. That meant he was going to help Ani. DId he still want her help too? One thing at a time. She stopped trying to talk and pet the bird, watching the poor man try to walk on his own. It was a good thing that the goblin picked him up. He needed the help and this just made her want to help more. His knee must be a mess on the inside. She hoped that she would be able to heal him at all. Sure, she has been practicing being able to push that magic, she knew was in her out but, how well would it work?

Her feet moved along into the hut. She was still thinking about how well her healing might work for the man. She looked around the hut but didn't take note of much. She just glanced over to Ani. "That's good, right? He will have some information for you."

The mermaid was asking questions about her bird. Alright... makes sense though most didn't really bother to ask such things. "My Raven is female. Her name is Galadal." Animela simply explained before the goblin turned to lift the man up to carry him. She would have offered to help in that aspect but the goblin had been a bit too quick to that punch and she hadn't expected him to want to do this now. Her head tilted just ever so slightly in observation before she'd step off in following.

Leading up to the 'hut' she'd look around in observation. That... Was interesting. She'd stop for a moment to stare at the pile of... Penises? She quite litterally would have stopped just inside the door to stare blatantly. She had absolutely no idea what those were or what they were for... But wait... Didn't she have one of those? She frowned, forgetting what she was doing literally just to open up her bag to stick a hand inside. Yes.. yes... that was it. The Ebony marital aid with it's glorious white veining would be brought out, almost as if to compare though she still held a confused look on her face about it. Yes... That's one this one. It was like those things in the pile. She'd pause, looking around again, her hand slowly lowering it back down into the back to let it disappear. Maybe... Maybe they were Penis Shaped Paperweights? He sure did have a need for those maybe. Why someone would want one that was penis shaped though was a odd but they were probably popular... she had to guess at least.

The anubis shook her head trotting over with the rest of the group. "Of course but anything will do." She'd bite her lip in a blush. "Anything about the world itself, portal rumours, maybe portals that seem to have a consistent popping up..." She'd look away before looking back. "I'm after the Jabberwock itself. I've got quite a bit of info on that one from olden times though nobody would know what it looks like now.. considering anyways. It's a type of dragon specific to Wonderland." She'd rock in her boots ever so slightly, ears twitching as she looked away. "I was advised to find one but it's been a bitch and a half to get any information on where it comes from let alone to go there."

"Two other things that I wasn't going to ask outside though. I'm mostly just looking for documentation or whether or not if it's ever happened before." She'd look back to him a more serious tone taking to her voice. "To start, Has there ever been an object reported to cause a permanent transformation that wasn't to an Incubus or Succubus. I know certain objects can cause it due to the infusion of vast amounts of demonic energy that ends up being absorbed by its user but I've not heard yet about it changing someone into something else."

"The second documentation, if it exists, is if there has ever been a successful removal of a demonic source from anyone or anything, anywhere."

Grimacing, the scholar beckoned his goblin carrier to shift a bit farther aways from the 'toy' pile. To sadly, no effect. In fact, she shifted along clsoer, letting out a rather impressed "Oooooh.." as the hooded customer brought out her own specific marital aide. The scholar simply let out a sigh and got back to thumbing through a small tome that had been given to him, a pathwork thing, loosely bound of very old looking notes

"I did take some notes back when I was a fledgling member of the Scholar's guild as practice. The tomes on wonderland are generally disregarded by most. From the little I know about the place, anything you write down on it is sure to be horribly inconsistent in comparison to the next person's notes." he started, flipping through till he pulled out three small pages. "Here, I do have a list from a few years back that has some barest information about more consistent portals to wonderland, though they do appear seasonal. Sadly, I don;t have anything of my own on Wonderland and its denizens...as I said, not many folks write about it."

The next part of her information made him cringe a bit, gritting his teeth, his jaw clicking a bit sorely. "No, I don;t have much of anything upon either of those subjects...A fellow by the name of nothing came by here a few months back and we had an incident with an item..but I think he took it along with him..that cursed book filled with runes that exploded forth. He'd be the one to ask more about that than I, since he seemed to be familiar with Demonic energy and the curses it can inflict."
