The woman looked towards him a little confused, her own head tilting. "I'm pretty sure if you leave your child with your wife when she is just a small child then there's likely to be a drastic difference when one comes forward looking like a Nun... I really ought to make better clothes. I.. Somehow lost my old ones. They were of such nice build too. I'll probably try to remake something similar because I liked them. Bit more coverage though. I don't need to wear this while I'm on the Island so normally I wouldn't be." Her face flushed looking away in slight embarrassment. "There's a chance I may recognize him even if only by a slight distant smell. My eyesight is no good for that one... You could say it's improved but it won't be much help." Seeing his hand rise towards her, not noticing the stop, she cringes falling a step away from him. Aye... For whatever reason he had been tempted to touch her. Normally this would have been fine but No. No no.. no... She could NOT allow the demonic energy that coursed through her body to transfer over to others. Even now it would jump to other people simply from contact... More strongly built up than when Skin Contact had been required. She looked down at herself, still in embarressment. "I.. I... I'm sorry Sir. I cannot be touched at this point in time. It.. It causes problems." She briefly explained, the Raven standing up from her spot with her chest puffed out. "Takes... The Cake... My Cake!" |

His face flushes a little pink having been found out about his near touch, but tilts his head soon after she finishes the last of her words with confusion. This only gave further rise to his curiosity, head and hands shaking in the visual action to say no whilst he says the very word. "No no, I was just gonna offer a pat to the shoulder, but we've only just met, and I didn't wanna make you feel awkward in any possible way." He looks to Galadal after finishing his statement before thinking as to whether he should ask the question that is itching at the back of his mind, half inclined to merely touch her to see for himself what it is she was she appeared to be concerned with, but doesn't make any move to do so, knowing that it would've been inappropriate given her warning as well as the slightest possibility of danger given her expression when she tried to explain. "Although it doesn't seem that its the case, I do sense something off. Is there something else thats wrong that you would maybe want to talk about?" He finally comes out and asks, expecting no more than a lie but wondered if maybe he could offer someone to talk to about the problem if there is one, or perhaps just learn something from any possible reaction to his question negative or otherwise that he could use to gain knowledge of what she may be hiding. "As I said, normally it would be fine. However..." The woman reached up, pulling down the hood over her head her ears popping up. "I prefer not to be touched right now because of personal issues. I'd rather not taint you with Demonic Energy. It's normal with monsters I know and we're going to a place which hosts a lot of Youko who have a similar effect just from standing near them but I'd rather avoid it myself. I touch my Raven just fine but it doesn't effect her like it does to humans apparently." The woman shakes her head again. "I'd rather not discuss why or how. I'll get it fixed eventually somehow." The anubis finished her statement just as the boat shuddered coming to a stop. She stumbled slightly, grasping onto the rail to steady herself. What in the blazing hell?" A few of the other passengers nearby had done various similar things, grabbing onto crates or poles. Well that couldn't be good. |

Taken by slight surprise, his eyes widened now seeing that she was a monster girl. Feeling foolish inside for not even realizing due to her apparel he flushes, only the slightest bit though, then scratches the back of his head. He listened to her words about the demonic energy, realizing now what it was she had been hiding and what he sensed about her. ~ So she isn't the origin of the origin of the malicious aura about her. She doesn't even appear to be a bad person let alone any kind of evil. ~ He thought to himself. "I see, I actually sen- !" Before he could get out even a few words he too was caught off guard by the sudden jolt but manages to ground his feet into the deck, holding himself steady without grabbing at the railing though almost falling over in the process, taking a couple steps to even out the motion change, now standing closer to Ani, but kept from falling into or touching her by a mere few inches. "Mm! I-I'm ok. Sorry..." His face flushes deeper before shaking it off and taking a step back from her before looking toward the front of the ship over his shoulder, wondering himself what could have caused us to suddenly come to a stop. The Gloved hands gripped harder on the wooden railing, the boat letting out a loud groan. Letting go with a concerned look on her face, the female padded away from the male, heading towards the front of the ship where several of the passengers had already started to gather, the ship's crew trying to calm those aboard down, the captain not quite in the area. This really couldn't be good. Apparently while they were near their destination, the drunkard at the steer and his buddies had allowed the ship to drift over a more shallow patch and got caught on some rocks, the crew just weren't saying it. Animela had gotten this information by simply looking down over the front of the ship. Many spires were sticking up, the ship not quite sinking all the way though the rocks had left quite the hole. Her ears pinned annoyingly, face turning back to the crowd. "We're not going down but we're not going anywhere either." She muttered to herself but a voice was broadcasted over the crowd, most likely a ball user on staff. "No need for worry! Somewhere along the line we miscalculated our direction and have managed to catch on some rocks. The water isn't deep enough to pull us completely under but it is estimated to come up almost a few feet from the deck. Please avoid getting in the water at this time. Another boat has been dispatched from the nearby port to give us a ride." He was at least correct. The boat stopped sinking with the water about a man's length from the deck, lower at the bow at 10 feet than its opposite end. The 24 year old slumped over the railing Raven hopping up into her black hair, leaning over to play with her white strands. "Damnit. "Damnit. Ah ah ha ha." "...Sigh." |

As she rushed away he followed at some distance, looking around himself first at the crowd of people then again at how much of the boat had been caught within the shallow rocks over the edge of the railing near the female he had been conversing with. He looked again to the amount of people then over the size of the boat as though calculating something in his head. He then noticed Ani and how she appeared to be in turmoil despite the knowledge that another boat will be here soon. Walking up to her he'd speak at her back, looking to Galadal as he spoke to Ani. "Hey, you seem really angry. I mean, more than everyone else. Are you maybe on a time crunch also to meet your father?" He said this as everyone else of course was upset about having to wait in one place but none seemed quite as upset as her, looking to the portside however he had a thought, so asked along with his previous question right after he finished his first. "Also, does this ship have a way to reverse?" |

The female looked up as the male spoke, coming up behind her. "Reverse?" The term didn't quite make sense to her when used for a boat. "There's a hole. Turning the sails away from the shallows would lead to us sinking deeper. I don't' feel like drowning today." She stated in a matter of fact way before looking back down, ears twitching. "There's not really a time crunch, he's there studying something for some reason or another. The letter said he'd be there for a while. I was going to try and make it for my birthday on the 7th but things got held up and now I'm a day late for my own goal. So now there's this. I'm not really angry, just more or less disappointed... I may also be a bit hungry and ended up sleeping through the served lunch and I haven't eaten since before I got to the port from which this boat left." She admitted a bit begrudgingly eyes turning away. "I don't really eat often, every other day or so. I suppose it could account for a bit of grumpiness though I didn't realize I was being so." |

Her reply made him realize that this ship must have been more damaged than he had originally thought, he should've listened better rather than trying to think of a way out of the rocks alone. Listening on to her statement about her birthday as well as her now obvious hunger he'd slowly reach back into his backpack for a moment, smiling as he pulled out a decent sized container of dried meat out. "Here, it's not much honestly but you can have this." He'd smile offering her the strips of dried meat that he had made the day before their departure over the course of about six hours. The meat slices themselves were not very thick and were dehydrated over a low fire within the pan that he carried in his knapsack at all times. It was venison meat from a deer he had hunted with his own bow, marinated in honey for half the time it took to prepare. He did however sell the remainder of the meat to a merchant after finishing his own food preparations. The container he handed her with a smile was quite large with at least a full 3 pounds of meat within it. "Think of it as a belated birthday present from me." Ears twitching as the backpack was rumaged through, her face turned back towards him almost curiously. Her nose wriggled as the dried marinated meats were pulled out, the container being popped open. "Oh, Jerky, The merchants tended to love this stuff when I sold mine off when I wasn't near enough to a town to sell it off Fresh.." She commented, nose still wriggling a little. He was making an offering to her but she wasn't budging. She simply blinked and turned away. Tasty as it was, this new form seemed a bit picky and craved juices as well as the calories... Maybe she should eat the Rav- What the hell was she thinking?! She shook her head to deny the thought, face paling before reaching for the offered treats, not taking it herself but simply grabbing at a handful of strips, sticking one in her mouth to chew on guiltily. Never think like that again. One does not eat their pets. One does not eat their friend. Galadal is not food. She was in almost sheer horror that the thought had even cropped up. Although.. the boy looked tasty too.. in other ways. The woman froze in her chewing staring blankly as the pupils dialated. A hand slowly grabbed at the meat in her mouth. Pulling it out so she could talk though the expression on her face stayed for the moment. "I don't know you very well so a Gift was not in order..." Her feet picked themselves up, shuffling away. Ugh, she hated this, these thoughts were not hers. None of them. Or were they? Why did this keep happening? "I-it's appreciated though." She stammered, sticking it back in her mouth for another chew. |

His head tilts to the side a little curious to her sudden paled expression, trying not to frown as he perhaps thought it didn't taste good, or perhaps she wasn't fond of jerky to begin with. Yet she spoke as though she made it herself, and despite taking it out to talk she didn't hesitate to continue eating it. So then what was the reaction from? He noticed her look was abnormal aside from the paleness, wondering if maybe she wasn't feeling well. "Well regardless I wanted to offer the kindness. If your hungry for something other than jerky though I plan to fish now to pass the time. Even if we may not have the means to cook it, I can make a tasty kind of raw fish if I catch the right kind with some of the jerky." He smiled to her now relaxing next to her again, sitting at her side before removing his knapsack and taking off his bow and knapsack. He first removes the string used to propel arrows out of the weapon from one side to leave a dangling line before removing it completely, then takes some fine twine he had in his backpack and ties it to one of the bows ends, biting a large portion of the twine to give a long fishing line. "All I'll need to do is make a hook out of wood and we'll be golden." |
