9th of Summer, Year 606 This was to be expected. The Anubis turned her head back towards the male in following, ears softly twitching as she waited for him to catch up. She had done this in spurts, thrusting herself forwards on powerful legs before stopping to let him catch up as he couldn't match her in speed. It was sort of like a game to her, a game he couldn't win but a game he refused to give up on. The previous night had been spent elsewhere in the port. She had taken up a room at the Inn as planned. The same Inn as the last time she had come to this place though not the same room. The gold was handed over but as she looked back at the Male who'd saved her life she let in and bought him his own room. It was the least she could do though she refused to let him stay in hers. The keys were handed over and she'd tried to toss him his. Whether or not he caught it or it ended up hitting him in the head didn't really matter to her. She'd gone to her room and didn't come out till the morn. The woman as in the breakfast room, chewing on some set out muffins and orange juice when Grimm had made his next appearance. She let him do what he would before standing up to leave. He'd followed her out of the building and towards Yami before she started running. She was correct, despite the long distance, it technically was only a 15 minute run for her... or at least that was a guesstimate it was more like 30. Though between her runs and pauses and waiting for him to catch up... and at one... or three points... or maybe more... letting him catch his breath, it had taken them 3 hours. They had reached the edge of the city and she slowed to a walk, letting him take his own stride behind her rather than running. Ears were twitching, eyes taking in as much information as they could. The inn must have been in the part of town she hadn't bothered with in the last time when she'd come here for the festival. It was the first direction she headed in. Once they had reached the inn after the journey by boat, he felt at ease given that he was on land again, both for himself and her. However when they both had made their way to the inn he felt somewhat nervous as he didn't have much money left. Originally he had planned to merely stay outdoors once he arrived on his own, but now that he wanted to travel with Ani, he knew it would assuredly change things. He was prepared to explain to Ani that he hadn't the money, but before he could comment a key was tossed back to him. He felt rather ashamed that she had to buy his room, but he thanked her nonetheless then retired as she did. The young man had trouble sleeping that night, remembering when he had saved her had made him fluster and therefor before he could get any sleep he had to wash himself with cool water. This made him feel slightly better, and just enough to drift into slumber after having written a new page within his journal for the day. After waking the next day he knew fully well that he had a journey ahead of him and given that he didn't know the region at all, he was both excited and concerned. Once the male stretched in preparations for what would undoubtedly be quite the jog given who he was traveling with, he made his way down to eat breakfast with Ani, but found her a little distant. This made him concerned and a little on the sad side as he was hoping to speak to her more about the place they were going. Once finished with his meal of an apple and some juice he stood and awaited her outside, not wanting to make her feel awkward by watching her eat. After starting their run however he was shocked by her speed, confident at first about keeping a steady pace, but after certain distances he found himself running out of breath. He apologized each time feeling rather slow compared to her, feeling as though he was only slowing her down now. "Finally made it..!" He stated in a half shout while still panting after reaching the outskirts of the their destination. Lookong around he became both confused and surprised by the amount of monster girls within the area. He had never seen so many roaming freely in one place before. Speechless he merely remained silent by her side at first, taking in his surroundings little by little. |

Now that they were at the towns edge and heading inwards, the woman had taken no heed of the man though her paces slowed to that of a trot. She was in no hurry. However, there he was, repeatedly apologizing for being slow. Tsk. Of course he was slower than her, he was just a human. They were naturally limited to a certain point unless trained. All species were, his was just at lower physical standards than hers. She paused in her walking, eyes scanning the ground, ears twitching. Again with that feeling, nothing was feeling right at all. It was worse since that boy had touched her. The golden orbs glanced back, her arm extending to allow the Raven, who had been hoping around from the ground to bush to tree to bush to ground to boy to bush, to land on her, perching herself. At least Galadal still felt the same. A slight smile was brought to her face, petting her lightly. Maybe... The woman glanced down to her satchel, a hand feeling through it until a scroll was withdrew, unravelling it as she continued her movement again. "Alright, so I need to find 'Syrichi's Auberge' and ask the hostess for Seikou..." Her voice trailed on in a soft mumble to herself, picking back up near the end. "...me. But maybe there's a way to convince him." She blinked, glancing at Grimm. "I still need to find it of course but if you're going to follow, I'm going to have to ask you to stay outside. Don't get into too much trouble. You're easy bait in a place like this without a ring on your finger. It's like leaving honey out on the wood. Attracts everything." |

Listening intently to her mumbling and comment he'd look around once more to see prying gazes toward him. This makes him quickly grow nervous as he swallowed a little having known through experience the feral nature of a monster girl who was desiring of him. In turn he steps closer to Ani instinctively, hoping that they'll cease or at least lessen their almost X-ray vision toward me, feeling as though they were undressing him with their eyes. Nearly grabbing at her arm but stopping himself within seconds he raises his hands a little. "S-sorry...Don't mind me. Once your gone from my side I'll be sure to be extremely careful not to be swarmed. I'm not gonna touch you or anything but...Mind if I stick a little closer at least?" Grabbing at his robe-like jacket he'd tug and tighten it around himself further as though shielding his body from the the penetrating gazes around them as they walk, following at her heel. "Heh, this reminds me of living near the farm near the outskirts of Havenmere before...well, all of this. I wonder how they're doing..." He finishes his statement trailing off near the end in thought and slight worry showing through on his face, hoping that the ones he spoke of were ok after what had happened before he jumped ship to this place. Always... ALWAYS the annoyance of traveling with men: Other women. The Anubis flicked her gaze to the various onlookers. They were observing him trying to figure out whether he was attached to the woman he was following or not. Her ears twitched and went on to ignore them. "Close is fine, touch is not." She reiterated still looking down the street with a turning head. The ears themselves would flick in interest as his own mumbling. That must be some part of his memories. People. Typical. She turned attention, taking the right turn at the corner a hand lightly scratching at her arm trough the thick fabric. Geez... It was already getting pretty got in this thing. A breath escaped her as her expression changed a little. Why did heat always have to make her sleepy? Why did she always need to take a nap around noon when the sun was at its highest? This was getting ridiculous.... Why was she just now thinking of this despite it being a norm for her for her entire life? Confusion. She shook her head, turning left. The best way was to go back and forth down the area's streets in a square-like zig zag pattern if she was going to find it herself. That should work anyways. Wait, why not ask for directions? No, these people weren't worth talking to. Not worth talking to? For information? Were they below her? Maybe. No they weren't. Yes they were. No... Yes. No. That thought was wrong. That thought was foreign. Her hair fluffed out, biting into a lip, the scratching moving from her arm to a harder surface on her chest. Stupid thing, messing with her thoughts again. That stupid boy touching her was making it act up. Or was that really why? 'He needs not to touch me again... ever... Nobody.. Ever.. until I can figure this out. Damnit.' |

He continues to think quietly to himself while following, wondering what the others might have been doing, attention remaining about him however as he tails Ani, sticking close but not touching. After turning the first time however he couldn't help but notice her movement, scratching, walking a little off from before, and other small hints that made him wonder if there was something wrong, something she wasn't telling him. This made him more alert, looking about and bringing himself only slightly closer to her, honing his senses on those around him despite them mostly being females looking back at him. After the second turn however he noticed an almost angry look upon her face, this made him frown and grow concerned, choosing to speak up quietly, wanting to take her mind elsewhere. "I'm glad that I got to come here with someone. I'd be in the forest at a distance still if you weren't with me. Especially if they found out I was a stow away on the ship. Hell I probably wouldn't have made it all in one piece if you didn't save me while on the ship so. Thank you." He watched where she had been itching, almost wanting to give her some sort of gentle touch on the shoulder or arm, anything to help calm her seemingly angered state of mind. The woman came to a stop, letting out a slow breath, her eyes closing. Not that she needed to catch her breath but rather to clear her mind. Too many thoughts collaborated with too much detail being taken in from the busy surroundings could end up being a distraction. Her ears twitched as she half focused to partially turn them off, more focused with her eyes which had opened once more. Golden Irises swirling with somehow brought up twinges of their prior dark violets, Animela's ankles sprung allowing her to dart forwards, twisting through the crowds as she located the sign of the Inn she'd been looking for. Three blocks down, on the left. Smaller wooden sign, not as outstanding as a location but clearly clean and well kept. The place seemed to focus more on good housekeeping and service rather than outright fancy glitter. Leaving the male behind in her dust, she'd made her way here and scratched to a halt, looking upwards at the sign, rereading for good measure. |

He had no time to react nor any way of knowing that she was going to attempt to run given how crowded it was around them. The moment he watched her form flash forth into the crowd his eyes widened with hidden terror, quickly attempting to give chase with a sudden burst of adrenaline only to see her luckily stop in front of a slightly larger building. Coming to a stop near the walkway leading up toward the entrance he grows a look of disdain as he slowly turns to look at some of the previously prying eyes, concerned now for his general safety now that he knew he would be alone until her business had concluded within the building. "Ok, just keep calm..." He'd slowly step up to Ani now quickly shoving his hands in his pockets to at least throw off any new onlookers within the nearby area due to Ani's words concerning having a ring on his finger. Perhaps this would at least give some sort of defense against the possibility of feeling a familiar pounce from those around him seeking a lone male whom they would deem acceptable for their most likely carnal desires. Walking up to Ani's side now he too would look at the building with curious eyes then back at her speaking calmly. "So this is the place huh?" Edited by Azuregrimm, Dec 3 2015, 12:31 AM.

Not ears still half turned off, the Anubis ended up being startled by the words so pointedly directed at her as the male came puffing up behind her. Her feet gave a bit of a bounce before turning to look at him, ears flicking once more. "Y-yes... Yes. This is the place. I believe it is anyways. It has the same name at least." She paused for a few moments before walking towards the door. "I'm going to go in and ask for him. Don't get yourself into trouble. " He was free to follow her in but definitely would not be allowed to follow her any further than the main desk area. |

His heart began to race as he slowly followed her at first, almost hesitating but speaks to reassure her as well as relax a growing fear at the back of his head. "I'll stay in here inside at the entrance at least then. At least that way I'll be off the streets and I'll wait for you till your done." He hoped to hear a response that would relax him at least slightly, instead looking down now to the ground he walked on, feeling even more like a burden to her than before. Someone who despite had been living off the wild by himself for many years, was afraid to be left alone within an unknown town. This notion made him feel childish and despite disliking the feeling, he hated the thought of leaving her already moreso. "I'll watch for you, and will hopefully still be in one piece on your return." He said giving a light chuckle as they entered the doors, opening one of them for her as was the gentleman thing to do despite it probably seeming unecessary given the circumstances. He'd look around curiously scoping out the people within the area as well as the insides of the building itself. Edited by Azuregrimm, Dec 3 2015, 12:50 AM.
