He was rather impressed with how Bei had decided to annoy him, actually... now she had a little fuzzy red panda thing to frustrate him with all over the Victory, and... well, he didn't know who this guy was. He asked a hell of a lot of questions.

"Obviously neither of us have any clue where we are. This is normal. You get used to it after a while..."

Annoying... but I gotta admit, kinda funny.

"Anyway, Bei, we need to get a move on. We have to find this Silvestre guy and head back to the Flawless Victory so we can report to Shuffle HQ whether he wants to be France's rep in the Gundam Fight. I can't even find God right now. The less time I spend here, the better."

Silvestre. Shuffle. Gundam Fight.

These were members of the Shuffle Alliance Armand was talking to. Actual, honest-to-God Gundam Fighters who wandered around the word beating the shit out of people. And they were looking for him.

"I can take you to M'sieu Silvestre," he announced to them. "I'm part of the support staff for Projet de Rose. He's here in Marseilles on personal business."

Why the cloak-and-dagger? Because he wanted to find out more about these people. And because it was fun.

Sticking her tongue out in protest to Japan's prized fighter, she turned her back to him and tugged on Armand's sleeve, tilting her head slightly like a curious puppy as to why he would lie about who he was. It wasn't as if she didn't know it was him already. Her raven hair whisked about in the gentle Marseilles wind, and as she was about to part her lips and reveal the ruse to Jan, she closed them back up and narrowed the emerald orbs she held.

"I hate you so much, Jan....you never have any fun. All about work."

Petting the little cohort situated on her shoulder, she began walking down the path they had just come from, hissing and gritting her teeth with the returning pain. This was her little punishment for being so harsh to that merchant, she guessed.

And of course, Jan's face broke out into a grin. All of this running around the city had come with something good from it - Bei had, unknowingly, led him right to where he needed to be. So, okay, it wasn't perfect; they had to go to the place, but this guy knew where they were at. That much was important to him. While Bei had expressed anger and irritation, Jan now was all smiled and happiness.

Of course, Jan didn't entirely get what she said. Not like he needed to - he got the three key words: hate, fun and work. Didn't take much beyond that to work out what she meant. Instead, he literally worked up to Bei, put his hands on her shoulders and whispered in her ear. If she was playing with this guy-- which she usually was-- he needed to tell her this in English without breaking her little ruse. And was it weird for two Shuffle Gundam Fighters to be talking about something secret? They were like, too cool for school or something.

Literally, actually.

"You are glorious, Bei. I love you," Jan said in a hushed whisper against Bei's ear, the anger of losing the location of his Mobile Fighter lost in the fact that he knew where he was going now.. To Armand, all he said was... well. "Lead on."

Of course, Armand had tried to listen in on the whispering without actually looking like he had been listening, but caught not a word of it anyway. He didn't think it was anything of importance, though his curiosity demanded he at least try to listen.

"Suivez-moi, s'il vous plaît."

There was the slight problem of not knowing exactly where he was. The alleys really were a maze, but if he could get out of them, then it was all good. Without waiting for the other two he stalked off in what was probably the right direction. Thankfully, and with a quiet sigh of relief from Armand, they emerged ten minutes later near a tram station.

While it would have been amusing to let the two Gundam Fighters walk all the way to where Rose was being kept, Armand personally was getting sore legs and so paid for three tram tickets to the port. When they sat down, he spoke for the first time since setting off.

"Monsieur, I couldn't help overhearing you saying you couldn't find God. Are you having a... what's the phrase?... crisis of faith?"
